according to the above report , ben haim set for a summer move to the lane .
now tbh i havent seen much of him this season , i guess nobody has really , but whilst at bolton he struck me as a steady , unflappable center back who worked hard for the cause and did the simple stuff well without complicating matters .
dont know the price but would be quite happy to see him come here .
any thoughts ?

Bolton fans loved him and jose saw something in him. Im not sure as chelsea will over price him i feel.
I could see him at villa or newcastle.

well he went there on a free , they may just want shot for a small profit and get the guy off the wage bill .
i guess it could end up in a bit of a bidding war with the likes of villa , as they are loosing melberg or maybe pool as hypia must be on his last legs

I'd only want him in as a last resort we need some pace at the back if ledders aint gonna be around much and dawson and woody aint the quickest!

I don't like Ben Haim, He's always and constantly getting booked, and giving away free kicks...

would rather us try and develop kaboul into a decent centre half, than get him.

on the subject of defenders , this was in the mail today
Ledley King, Jonathan Woodgate, Michael Dawson, Younes Kaboul, Pascal Chimbonda, Gareth Bale, Alan Hutton, Tom Huddlestone, Didier Zokora, Teemu Tainio, Lee Young-Pyo, Anthony Gardner, Jamie O'Hara, Chris Gunter, Gilberto, Ricardo Rocha, Paul Stalteri and Benoit Assou-Ekotto.
That's 18 players Tottenham have used in their "defence" over the course of the Premier League season.
No wonder they've leaked 58 goals (only Reading and Derby have conceded more).
Add in Paul Robinson's woeful form and you can see why Spurs have been closer to the Championship than the Champions League this season.
Note for next season Juande. Clear out the dross, buy a couple of defenders (not £16m strikers) - and pray King, Woodgate, Hutton and Bale stay fit
as he points out 18 defenders used is a ridiculous amount ,

We have thirteen registered defenders, if we cannot come up with a defensive solution with the amount of registered defenders we have, then surely we are going to be in deep shit if we don't clear most of them out and bring in experienced and consistent ones. Saying that, chopping and changing constantly won't help the team to settle down, too many changes in the team will only set us back come the beginning of next season.
