I really like the guy but he needed to go but with that said i hope he will get a great welcome.

There was a great interview of him on skysports going over his spurs years and let me tell you the man is spurs through and through! He was looking through the spurs opus book and saying he was lucky to get one and that martin brought it for him and that he couldn't thank him enough!

Great bloke but with that said i want newcastle to go down quicker than paul jewell on his mercedes with his t shirt on!

Smashing fella, speaks very well and is a real spurs person. Always welcome!

I hear good things about his coaching despite my frustrations with the Irish and Spurs setups he was involved with. But that may not have been his fault. After all, the manager is the bossman.

I don't think it was his coaching abilitys i think it was more of thresh idears and a change behind the scenes. Im not being funny to have players overweight is got great coaching no matter is we finished 5th twice.

I'm relutant to blame coaches when it goes wrong. They don't make the decisions.

I think you have to be there to know if a coach is good or not.

I agree. I find it weird when people start blaming problems on an assistant or some such.

Like with Segers and Robbo, and now people are moving on to Suckling.

i liked chris as a player , and know he is spurs through and through , but i think the coaching staff have to take some responsibility along with the mangers for poor desicion making , positioning and general skill on the ball .
if the manager is making mistakes in training set ups , then we need a strong positive coach to tell him whats what and where he is going wrong , and i have to say chris never gave me the feeling he was that outspoken type of guy , unlike poyet .
i may be totally wrong though , as you say i guess you have to be there , and im more going on body language when i compare the two on the sidelines , but the rseults over the last 20 years are indicative , as is the fact of the guys being unprepared , overweight apparently and not as fit as could be .

Well, I suppose he was owed his victory yesterday after the club dumped him. He'd have enjoyed that.

Could well be right and yes I get that feeling too, but as you say I don't like to make assumptions when I could be totally wrong.

My feeling is that is well the case though and Frank Arnesan used to be 'Frank' :D with Jol and challenge him. Jol said as much after he left. He said Frank used to question his decisions but that Commolli was more like a super scout and a general manager for him. He was less involved. And he said in so many words that Chris is his mate and we know he is probably not one to kick up a fuss.

However, end of the day, I go back to the manager being the one who makes the decisions and even if he is questioned it's not to say that he just went with his own ideas anyway. After all it is him who is supposed to oversee the whole thing and he always has the final say.

I'm really reluctant to criticise coaches because of this. I mean they might have brought issues up every year but were ignored and if they started causing trouble then they might lose their job.

It's a lot easier for Poyet as Ramos really knows his stuff.

Ironically, it looks like Commolli kicked up a stink from a far and one had to go and Jol was the one that went. Which for me was the right decision.

That's not to say that Commolli is good at what he does. That's not something we can really know (at least for a while), but he looks way better when the final choice is with Ramos! I wouldn't blame Commolli for the bad signings. Again the final call is with the manager.
