View Full Version : So refs wants respect

well after last night they have to bring it to themselves surely.

How could that ref last night allow Cole to get away with the foul but then even more so (due to title of thread) the reaction afterwards.

Unlike with Taylors challenge on Eduardo where first thing Taylor did was check on Eduardo, Cole clearly didnt give a toss about Huttons wellbeing, then didnt give a toss about the ref. His behaviour after the foul should and indeed must bring swift repute by that dinosaur Sepp Blatter and Michel Platini.

If they wanted a longer ban for Taylor with his immediate concern for his opponent then waht the hell will they want for A Cole who didnt give a toss about anyone but himself.

Should have been a straight red for the foul. but the the bahaviour afterwards was worth another two straight reds, not a caring loving smile from the ref, who to compound matters then books Keane for a bit of a moan (same punishment as A Cole got) and earlier had booked J Cole for moaning when he didnt get a freekick when he was clearly fouled.

The ref had the perfect opportunity to show how much respect they want to recieve, well if that was it then they need thick skin at all levels cos they dont earn respect by those reactions. Maybe the FA will act where the ref didnt, i sure hope so but i doubt it.

If the refs want respect then they need to take control. starting next season they need to send off anyone showing a lack of respect, dangerous play, intimidation etc.

No giving players the benefit of the doubt, send the ****ers off, regain control and repsect. If the players know that doing swearing in the refs face will get them sent off they wont do it eventually. It would mean a controversial season but something needs to be done.

yep also think they need to intoduce more levels of bookings, i mean a challenge like that is much worse then Hudd falling/diving or Keane /J Cole moaning.

Sin bins would be great but how do you deal with the last 20 mins when you may as well send them off .

Id happily have next season a complete write-off if it meant referees were regaining control through a hardline attitude.

thing is Sky etc make it tough, they moan when refs 'overreact' and get cards out, they spend more time condoning refs than they do condoning players behaviour.

they look at all the decisions from 20 angles in slow mo ten times then say, yes he did just get the ball so it wasnt a freekick or a booking, ive watched so many challenges and screamd for soemthing then watched the replay and realised the ref was 100% right more often than the ref being wrong, and they can only give what they are sure they saw (or they should do anyway) so even if theyre wrong you gotta live with it cos its hopefully what they saw.

Fines dont do any good, i say 3 match bans for approaching refs in an aggresive manner first offence, 5 matches second offence and rest of season ban for any more with a ten point deduction per team for every player that gets the season long ban.

Or maybe refs should run up to a player who has just shot wildly over the bar and rip into them for being useless fecking ****s  theyd probably cry!!

Never mind that Gran had a case of wengeritus!! Saying he never saw the tackle because the 4th official was in his way all he saw was the spurs bench jumping up and down. And he said he never saw cole turn his back on the ref?!!?!?!

What a soppy fac elike a slapped arse **** he is

Thats what all managers of shamefully-behaved players say:rolleyes:

Spurs boss Juande Ramos said: "In this case the referee decided it was a yellow card but we've seen tackles that were much less serious given red cards."

Blues boss Avram Grant added: "I didn't see it but the referee was very close and I saw everybody jump on him, including the Tottenham bench.

"I know when we are doing this everybody says we are not behaving right. We have a lot of respect for referees."

Riley did not include the reaction of the Chelsea players, or that of Cole, in his match report so no further action will be taken on that matter by the FA.

excuse the copy/ paste but this says it all, why the hell would you want to respect refs when they dont even respect themselves, dont even report Coles actions after the foul, or the other tossers, sod respecting them the bastards in black (or whatever colour they wear)

refs think they need respect and they do but yesterdy the ref didnt send cole off only because terry and the chelsea bench got up and had a go at him

The FA say they cannot upgrade to a red cos he got a yellow for it...well what about giving him a retrospective red/yellow for his reaction!? He didn't get shit for that and they should throw the book at him..

Although I must say, it's prolly only saving face but he just issued an apology, so slight respect to him on that front.

i think if they sorted the advantage rule out this would assist refs greatly, i mean whats wrong with playing on after a foul if your team is stil lin possesion and seeing if you can still make more of it, if not then bring play back for up to 10 seconds for the free kick. , lets be honest we all know whether theres been advantage gained or not to be able to judge that on each and every case., needless to say if the ball goes to Titus Bramble the game is stopped immediately ;)

the refs should get more respect obviously , but they seem rather toothless when up against the powers that be that run football.

the fa or fifa should make intimidation booking and finable offence for players and managers alike , though they themselves run scared of upsetting the big 4 in england or the g-14 in europe .

so therefore it comes down to the mangers to cut out the crap coming from their players on the field , but they are under pressure from their own prospective plcs or boards to produce results whatever the moral cost except from two untouchable mangers , being fergie and wenger .

so good luck getting fergie to stop his own touchline intimidation or for wenger to actually pop down spec savers and get a pair of glasses . cnuts .

the refs should go on strike until the players stop cheating, or they are given carte blanche to take a m-16 onto the pitch and dispense tough justice then and there, as in judge fecking dredd

yeh having sdaid all that i did notice a different attitude from players this weekend, watched a few games live and the highlights and there was more restraint from players and acceptance of decisions.
The Sun did say it was going to name and shame all the players and staff that didnt respect officials in this weekends games, be interesting to see what they come up with cos i think it worked for this week.

IE Noticed David Moyes questioning the 4th official but in a very calm assured manner no ranting and raving . think thats what a lot of people likes about Jol and the Man U Mendes goal that never was , maybe he could be the ambassador for keeping calm at OT.

it comes to something though when it falls upon the press to take a moral crusade to shame the players , managers or the fa into actually doing something pro-active .
