With just under 24 hours to go until the greatest show on earth begins I'm very interested to hear how people will be watching the World Cup - especially England matches. Will you be down the pub with your mates watching on the big screens? Will you paint your faces? Will you have friends over for beers? How many of you have bought inflatable hands and widescreen tvs? How many of you have put up bunting? Myself - well I will watch England's group games with my mates drinking beers and singing our own re-worded version of 3 lions. When it comes to the knock out games I have to watch them alone because I get extra emotional / tense. COME ON ENGLAND.

i mix of both really, i like a beer and a jolly up, but the screen's are usually pretty poor and there's often a scrap before the game has finished. Drink in wit's out and all that. I was in the unenviable position of working next to a pub last time, and for the games i missed i would record them and try to avoid the result til i got home. No chance of that next to a pub. The whole building shook when everyone jumped up lol.

The first England game's alright, 10 p.m. here in Japan. The final group game against Sweden kicks off here at 4 a.m. so I'll be getting some sleep fom 11-3, then cycling 20 minutes to a place that shows it, biking home, get another 2 hours of kip, then up for work! Then the following day it's off to Thailand for 2 weeks where watching the games should be lovely in a bar on the beach!
Come On England!

Me too! I have decided to watch the first week in various London pubs and friends houses, it's not a World Cup without a huge BBQ. I shall spend the second week on a beach, IMO the best way to watch any game. Then it's back to London for the serious business of the knockout rounds where I shall be watching from the comfort of my own lounge, as I also can't take the stress of watching in pubs. (i'm banned from one of the biggest pubs in Bristol for throwing a full pint at their big screen when Spurs lost to Newcastle a few years back).
Anyone got any cash riding on this? I've got a tenner on the Argies to win and a tenner on Ivory Coast to get to the quarters. Incidentally I also had a tenner on Watford to get promoted through the play-offs at 40-1!
