Now i think when on his game the mans immense but other than that he does nothing for us apart from throw his arms up in the air and strop like a child and is always negative when a pass doesnt come off.

He should have been taken off today and keano was well within his rights to be pissed off! I know many peple wont agee but if someone comes in with 30mill i'd bite their hands off! If we could get a centre forward who can come in and score and also play for the team then i'd take it

Berbatov and Keano = 40+ goals a season

We need to fight tooth and nail to keep them 2 and buy a new midfield to support them. Our midfield is so shit it would piss any quality forward off to no end playing with them.

Berba doesn't get going till december the last 2 seasons have shown that!

Berbatov scores 20+ goals a season with a shite midfield behind him the last 2 seasons have shown that. You're clutching at straws mate Berbatov is our most skilled player by a country mile getting rid of him would be a big mistake.

I agree with WW that Berbatov only starts to perform from December onwards. I also agree with Keano that he is our most talented player. If we could sign some REAL top quality players in the summer, i think Berbatov's length of quality could be extended. The 2 coupled together equals success!.

I'm not saying he isn't but if he put in only half the effort keane does he'd be an even better player! What did he do today really?

Spot on its like he plays well on his own terms. Look at him in the cup final? Compared with today?

Im not fussed if he stays or goes.

Breaking up the Berbatov/Keane partnership would be one of the dumbest things in the history of Spurs. He has off days like every player but him just being on the pitch opens up space for our other attacking players.

40+ goals a season partnerships are few and far between. Huuntlaar could be crap in the EPL like Kezman or to an extent Kuyt. Our main problems that need addressing are in midfield were everyone is crap and not good enough.

Totally agree. Ive always wanted to see Huntelaar play in the EPL. He would be a gamble. Shop him to villa, see if he does well then buy him for real money :P kiddin.

Seriously- if we can pick up someone with the levels of talent as Ashley Young; we'll be laughin... I also hear David Bentley isnt happy at Blackburn... HINT?

Berby undoubtably has talent..but all that skill and ability has to be matched with the right ****ing attitude to be classed as 'immense' or world class.

He had the opportunity to roll his sleeves up and really lead this team by example...he doesn't...

to be successful we need winners..not players who only perform when the 'sun' is shining and things are going well....quite frankly I couild'nt care less bout him....

I totally agree Keanoldinho ..... anyone who thinks selling Berbatov can improve spurs as a team is off his head.... can you imagine how many goals the keane/berbatov partnership would get with a quality creative midfielder and with Bale back on the left !!! it's in our pathetic midfield where the problem is. Yes berby throws his hands in the air and complains either because he's disappointed at himself or because he makes a run and as nobody is on the same wavelength as him, they only see the pass 10seconds to late

he doesnt try enough.
however he is the only proper proffesional in our team.
he was the only one to not go to the party after wembley.
and it shows bacause he was the only one who played well in the birmingham game and the first and second legs of the cup.

In the first half I thought he put in a lot of effort, chasing back and winning the ball. What he was doing wrong was trying too many fancy flicks that lost possession because City packed the centre and relied on counter-attacks. He's never going to look like he's busting a gut because that's not his style. How many times have you seen him on the ball, convinced he's going to be tackled, yet he nonchantly strokes a pass to a colleague? Keane doesn't have his poise or elegance, and will always rely more on effort than Berb.

Anyone advocating selling Berb for 30m should remember the 18m we got for Carrick. Fantastic fee, but didn't we pay for it the following season.

Agree totally, it is our poor midfield which is the problem, most if not all of the teams in the Premier would want a strikeforce like ours.

People should remember how long Berbatov can hold the ball for...thats work rate big time. He can hold the ball in tight spaces with 2-3 players around him for what feels like an age. He's constantly doing this..waiting for the movement of others around him. Infact when he does rarely get tackled...your like what happened there! He's an absolute master at holding the ball...best I ever seen do it.

Ramos is gonna have his work cut out in pursuading him to stay. I hope he does as Berby and Keano are the best partnership in the country IMO. As others have mentioned its definitely the midfeild which requires sorting...sort that and we have a real team.

Another point to consider is that we need to hit the ground running this time round. Could you imagine new foreign CF coming in? Adapting to a new country, league and club. We would need to give him time to settle and of course if he doesn't hit the ground running all these things are mentioned. For me its imperative we keep Berby and protect this fantastic partnership upfront.

Does berbs hit the ground running at the start of the season? Also i doubt we can do anything to make berba stay its like hes waiting to be sold everytime theres a transfer window he plays shit.

Im not sure i would love berba to stay but with his agent ect i can't see him ever be 100% focused for tottenham.
