its not an issue. its a rhetorical question. the two are chalk and cheese. you would never have to choose. although if i think about it I missed the belarus and hungary games recently but never miss a spurs game. so there you go - guess I have spurs blood coursing through my veins.

I must admit, however much I love England, with flags up like Hastings Yid, even when I watch them, I hope for injuries to player where a Spurs player would provide back-up. And also hope for the non-Spurs players to make mistakes to give the Spurs a chance. Was gutted at Crouch's performance today as it knocks Defoe even further out of contention.

Funny @england's no. 1... Obviusly i'm not english so I don't love england that much even though it's my favorite country and always support the national team... But every time i'm watching england I hope exactly the same. Hope that some of the players get injuried so that some spurs players can get on the pitch etc....

No comparrison SPURS all day long. Love my country but as long as arsenal players are in the set up there allways be 2nd. The day will come when the england midfield will be Carrick, Jenus, Lennon, ?????, whoever we sign thats English.

yep same, spurs all day long. i also hope for injuries to other players to allow spurs player to get on and so the premiership clubs will be weakened by the injuries

spurs everytime, which is even better now we have a largely english team.

I love the buzz of an england game but it's been tempered by my complete hatred for sven and his ineptitude. I will not miss him.

I must say that I'm only interested in Spurs first and foremost. I don't even like the idea of having so many of our players in the England squad as I don't want them coming back injured or burnt out when we should have many more matches to play next season. England is okay with me when other clubs' players are involved and risk injury.

Perhaps I will like England more once we get someone who knows what they are doing. I'm proud to be english don't get me wrong, but i'm not too proud of my national team, it is a shambolic joke.

well being welsh i'd obviously be lying if i claimed i was a england supporter! But let me say i always like to see 'our' players do well in a england shirt. Did you know that only man utd has had more players representing england than spurs in the last 100 years!

No doubt some of englands greatest ever players have been from the spurs - jimmy greaves, martin peters, gary lineker, gazza, chriss waddle, alan mullery, Glenn of course and many others!

In fact think you could make quite a useful all time england Xl out of spurs to have played for england!

And of course england's most successful ever manager - Alf Ramsey - was one of our former players! All in all the english national football side has a lot to thank us for i'd say.

Me i'll be supporting - as always - brazil in the world cup! Two good reasons for this - being welsh i'll never see my own country in the finals lol, and two being a spurs fan i think it's natural to gravitate to a team that plays good attractive football and there's nobody does that better than brasil.

Spurs every day of the week, but... if it was a choice between Spurs winning the League Cup or FA Cup (presuming we were already in Europe and didn't need to win to qualify) and England winning the World Cup... that might be a tough decision!

Well, I'm Welsh through and through, however I dont see how I can't support England, the players I watch and admire week in week out are all involved in the England setup, I also find that players from other teams become neutral, in that I don't hate them as much or at all during International season! Wales underachieve and I'm sick of seeing teams who are clearly much worse than Wales qualifying, such as Angola, Iran, Costa Rica and T&T....I know it seems like small fry but as a Welsh football fan I have to accept it, living in this god-damn egg chasing country. But, as my grandfather was born in London, that's my excuse for supporting England, to my fellow Welshmen at least. You should see the shit I go through just to wear my England shirt. :D

That doesn't affect me, I couldn't care less that he plays for England, I still want Ashley Cole to break a leg. And Theo to get squashed and career be over. That would be 15mil well spent!!!
