Damn, you beat me to it, was just about to post exactly yhe same thing. Thank God this has happened, and at just the right time too, now maybe we can have an honest FA who puts Arsenal in it's place after the recent allegations.

I like how it took illegal dealings to make them realise.

****ing idiots.

I dont care how its come about. hopefully thats him completely out of the picture and we'll start seeing proper punishment handed out to the scum!! Wenger calling our man a liar? Henry slagging off barca/the ref/everyone but himself!! next season will be fun!! I wonder if they'll be told to behave because they dont have deins influence on the board?

Sorry mate, great minds and all that!! This is such great news though, it means there must be substance behind these claims. Now lets see them dumped out of europe.

Man, i would laugh for weeks if they got turfed out of the champions league.

Mr Thierry would certainly regret his decision to stay.

There must be some substance behind the claims if there was a vote today because of the recent reports in the press. Does this mean he has NO influence within the FA now?

I think this is the FA attempting to distance itself from Dein's dealings. I can't see how this improves our situation, if anything it gives the FA more credibility to defend any attempt to remove the Goons from Europe. They have also replaced the devil wih Satan, correct me if I'm wrong but David Gill is a board member at Man U, surely this defeats the whole object of removing Dein?

Just been looking into David Gill and I gotta say I agree with you, he sounds like a very similar character to Dein and I fear will have the influences, just with a Man Ure influence instead of Ar$£n@l.

What's all this about Dein's dodgy dealings? I can't find anything...

Glad he's off the board though - let's hope Gill doesn't prove to be as bad. Personally I think the whole board should be independent - eg no member can sit on a clubs board too. Only way it'll appear fair and transparent...

Yeah but as long as its not arsenal getting preference!!

Why do we have to have a chairmans representative? why cant all decisions be made through a vote by all Chairmen?

When will Danny Boy's time come? I think he's got the integrity to be there.

Too much integrity to take the job, I reckon. Anyway, the general anti-Spurs feeling that exists in football's higher eschilons will prevent it.

Great news the FA have got rid of Dein but i still think the scum will stay in the champions league he will make something up so they don't get thrown out.

Seeing as how the FA don't even know if Arsenal have broken the rules, I think it is sadly safe to say that nothing will happen to them.

I agree that probably nothing will happen to them, but when this story first broke, my main hope from it all was that David Dein would be forced off the main FA panel, and that has happened, anything else that comes about from this is a bonus.

I agree no body on the board of the F.A. should be on the board of a football club . They used the excuse of diens poor judgement in choseing the England manager fiasco ... But i think we know better !

There are a few PL representatives though, I believe, 4 I think, not sure who they are though. Yeah, it is a little defeatist to replace Arsenal with Man U, tit for tat really and I hate both clubs as much as the other. Arsenal is everything that's wrong with football, while Man U is everything that's wrong with the world.

Bolton, Man Utd, Wigan and an independant person make up the four reps on the board.

Are you tellin me that retard Dave Whelan is one of the reps!??!?

I believe so, or it could be somone else high up at Wigan.

That's worse than David Dein. Dave Whelan is one of the most moronic, idiotic people involved in football. He sees the world through pound shaped eyeballs. The guy is such a joke!

Deins departure is a massive coincidence. FIFA are now involved in this Beveren-Goons conspiracy and a lot of heat could be coming down on Dein...talk about protecting your own arse. The FA are simply protecting their own interests.

He'll be back within two yrs i bet!!!

sorry to bring this one up agin, but do you reckon Daniel Levy had any input or was instrumental into this decision after the last day debacle?

England's No.1
9th June 2006, 01:11 PM
Honestly, no. I think that is wasn't just Spurs who were getting fed up with him but a lot of others were as well. I've heard different stories about Jose Mourinho being upset with him and the Middlesboro chairman to name a few.
