its popular view of many spurs fans and press speculation that a left winger should be the main transfer target for the summer. Blackburns MGP would be a great addition but i fear blackburn will manage to hold onto him. Another candidate would be Christian Wilhelmson whom i like but i feel we can do better. As Jol is a fan of homegrown talent Man Utd's Kieren Richardson is worth a mention although i doubt he will leave united, he seems to be a very money and fame driven player which isnt something we want around anyway. Now Real Betis winger Joaquin is a top quality player, im talking serious quality and today said that he will consider plying his trade on foreign soil next season. i think if we make the CL we should definately try to bring him to the club, he has european experience, can create and can go past people.

What do we think??

Joaquin is a top-quality player, and considering he has been linked with every top club ever he is well out of our league. Not that I have seen him week-in, week-out, I believe from what I have seen and pundits and the like he is having a bit of a rough season.

This is no reason for him to lower his sights from Real Madrid, Barcelona and AC Milan to Tottenham Hotspur, as much as it pains me to say it.

IMO, he will join Madrid. He is a Madrid supporter and what with the new Pres, a new transfer policy will come in, one which I feel will be of bringing in the best Spanish talent and nurturing young Spanish talent.

On the foreign side of things, he has stated he likes Liverpool, they have a Spanish manager too and need a right-winger, so don't be surprised. Not only that but Chelsea can offer him the moon, so like i say, why would he join Spurs?

Joaquin is a top quality Right sided midfielder, he isnt blessed with pace although his set-pieces are quality. According to quite a few reports he's a bit of a trouble-maker. I think making a move for him would be a bad move. Morten Gamst Pedersen is a much better choice.

Joaquin isn't a left winger, he's entirely right footed.

We have our own star in the making on the right, i.e. Lennon. We need a player with a wicked left peg. Don't mention we have Porky.
