I am not usually paranoid..about anti spurs feeling...although sometimes its hard...but on a footballing front...how the hell can sven start hagreaves over carrick..or jenas...or my nan....on saturday against jamaica?.......

Robinson gets slated on 365....carrick must wonder what he's done so wrong..and defoe can't even get a chance ,instead a kid in nappies is on the plane?......even Lennon the man of the match from the previous game..doesn't get a sniff against hungary..instead walcott comes on?

I have no idea what sven is up to, Owen Hargreaves is probably a very competant player but he has done little in an england shirt to suggest he is worthy of being anywhere near a starting place. Carrick has played in that position all season, Sven has been at the lane probably more than any ground this season so he knows what he is capable of. I just cant see the thinking behind sven putting carragher then hargreaves in place of carrick or to a lesser extent jenas. Sven seems to be losing the plot.

Yep! I posted about Carrick under "Players" - what has happened for Sven to drop Carrick in favour of Carragher and Hargreaves? They both looked crap in the midfield against Hungary. I'm just hoping that Carrick gets a chance to come on and show he is the best man for the job!

I wouldn't worry too much about these games. Sven is known for being retarded with picking teams for friendlies, so he's probably just testing whether hargreaves can be relied upon.

If, however, Carrick doesn't play in the game at all, i would be seriously worried about our chances.

I have thought this for a long time. It is hard to believe that Sven who watches Spurs every single home match, and any away matches in London and probably a few more, chooses no Spurs players for England. Really what is he bothereing watching our players for? Surely he should be at an Arsenal Reserve game watching 16-year-olds...? Oh wait I forgot Theo has only played 3 reserve games since joining the Scum. Oh and the last one of those was 3 months ago. Great match practice then.

Here's a question for everyone.

Would you have taken Jenas, or not taken him in order to include Defoe?
Bear in mind the amount of game time Jenas is likely to get and the competition in front of him.

yer i'd happily swap jenas or hargreaves for defoe. i think jenas is there on merit mind, i just think we need a fifth striker although we didn't take another biggy anyway.

I was thinking that if we go through and beat germany, hopefully the german public will kill hargreaves for us so we don't have to worry about him anymore. Probably shoot him up against a wall.

hargreaves is a pathetic choice. and only sven knows why he was picked. he is shite
