Following Football365.com's constant unjustified bashing of Jermaine Jenas, I found this....

...extremely disheartening. I'm starting to believe this site is run by G**ners. Does anyone agree with this article?

WTF!

I can't believe that! Robinson has never played anything but excellent for England. He may not be up with Banks and Shilton yet, but they were at their best when they were a damn sight older than Robbo. As for Spurs, he did make two mistakes (and, yes, probably a few more) but every keeper does, even those he says are "unarguably superior alternatives" - Cech, Lehmann! and Given.

This idiot is full of shit!

That is a terrible article... Yet they forget about the worldclass saves which get us in it against Wales e.t.c

"Robinson's position is regarded as sacrosanct because to question his standing would, by default, promote the claims of James. Even when Robinson made two high-profile mistakes against Arsenal and ManYoo in the space of one November week, criticism was conspicuous by its absence."

The above is gold.....I tell you what every goalkeeper today has made mistakes.... Buffon, Cech, Given e.t.c

Best Lehmann.... haha he's ticking time bomb..... he can be an absolute calamity some times.... lets go back to the CL Final

What WA**KA

I've just checked skybet.com, and under the 'top WC goalkeepers' category, Robinson is second favourite at 6/1, behind only buffon of Italy at 5/1. So **** you, football365, you closet g**ners!

That has to be one of the worst articles i've ever read, written by someone who clearly has no idea what they're talking about.

England's No.1
2nd June 2006, 11:55 AM
That article has got me fuming! Paul Robinson has been nothing but outstanding for both Spurs and England, yes he made big mistakes against the scum and Man Ure but as someone else has said, every goalkeeper makes mistakes, and Robinson has yet to make any for England. He's not perfect, he needs to improve on handling crosses and commanding his area, IMHO, but everyone needs to improve on something. He is an England legend in the making, and if |England have to go to penalties in the world cup, he will make the crucial saves and be the hero, then the writer of this article will have to eat his words!

Not surprised you are angry, 'england's no1' hahha! Yes agree with JJ though, terrible terrible article and I hope the idiot who wrote it is made to realise that Robbo is the No.1 because he IS NUMBER ONE. To suggest he is only there to keep James out is shocking. He is the best English keeper by a clear ten miles and is pushing to be the world's best, he's one of the 3 best keepers in the world now IMO.

That article has really pissed me off, i knew Football365 was a bit of a joke site run by some gooner scum but i didn't realise it was capable of being this ridiculus. Robinson the 'weakest Link'? some people really do have no idea what there talking about.

The author should be charged with bringing Football Journalism into disrepute. Robinson is 10 times the keeper Shilton ever was.

Definatley, possibly in the top two as I can only think of Buffon who can perform as consistantly as Robbo. He (Robbo) makes at least two world class saves almost every game, and it's not like he has much to do other than that. His tip over the bar against Hungary was a measure of his class and concenration.

I think you will find that football365 caters for sad and moronic fans of two bit clubs like S****horpe. No website which proports to be serious would carry the inflamitory and ill-informed articles written there. (The Gary Neville Diaries are very funny though!)

I would say on a par with Shilton, but still a bit short of Banks and Jennings.

Just read this article and I can't believe it isn't written by either somebody with a vendetta against Spurs or someone who Robbo bullied at school. And our Paul just doesn't seem the type to demand dinner money with menaces...

It's an ill-informed piece, but one muppet's opinion doesn't change the fact that Robbo is one of the top keepers in the game. The fact that people can pin-point his mistakes show just how infrequent they are..

There are only two points that this pond life makes that remotely has any sense of reality about them.
Robbo is the best english keeper in the prem.end of. The fact that in comparison with yesteryear there is no cometition, is not Robbo's or svens fault. Who's the best keeper in the prem better than Robbo ? Lehman:D Given:o Van der Sar:confused:
Petr Chec is the only one i'd even remotely think about swapping Robbo 4 even then probably not.

This guys a tosser who needs to stay off the medication
