Has anyone else watched World cup Heaven and Hell each night this week on ITV? Its a brilliant show. Really beginning to get hyped up now for the World Cup. Share your World Cup Memories on this thread. My World Cup Heaven was Michael Owen's goal against Argentina in France 98. Obviously the pain of the 1990 semi final defeat still lingers - so crying behind a cushion after Waddle's miss would be my World Cup Hell. I still get goose bumps when I hear Nessen Dorma!

Why should one hate Shearer? Is it because he didn't play for us? How I would have welcome him had he decided at a certain point to join us.

With regards to the Beckham/Simeone incident in 1998, wasn't cheating Diego supposed to be a midfield hardman? Yet a poncey spice boy beckham taps him with his foot and he goes down like he's been shot in the kneecaps. Hardman? hahahaha.
