just progress on the pitch would be ok, i still don't think we're a top four team. If we have a better balanced team for next year, that manage to bed in and not give away results, we should make some progress. Hopefully with that will come the chance of a cup. If we can finish 5th again next year and progress as a team i'd be well happy. I think we had some right lucky results this year so we're by no means a shoe in for uefa, it all has to be done again. I think the emergence of lennon as a top class winger may push jol towards a footballing side rather than playing with a big hold up striker, he really didn't seem to sure on our best set up for much of the season, but i'm hopeful we'll still have defoe and lennon for next year and they will prove top quality.

We're not a top four team. We finished fifth.

Beating a few of the 'top four' teams would be a step in the right direction, otherwise we'll be the best of the rest. We need to cement ourselves as a solid top 4 side, at the expense of arsenal.

As long as we maintain the progression and finish 5th with more points or qualify for CL i'll be happy. If we finish below Blackburn or especially Newcastle I'll be gutted.
