with the team progressing so much and on the verge of qualifying for european football is it time for us to move into a bigger stadium?
i seem to recall hearing that we couldnt expand WHL too much due to the location and the surrounding roads or something, not sure how true it is but it has been rumoured that Mr. Levy has made an attempt to sway the F.A to allow us to rent out the new webley as our new stadium but we were also told that the naming rights to WHL may be sold in order to raise more revenue for the transfer kitty.

do we need a new stadium or should we stick with WHL and sell the rights to increase Jol's warchest??

i would like to see use move into a new stadium of our own but i am also realistic so i think a move for the new wembley would be best but apparently the F.A are against it.

apparently we looked into using the new Olympic stadium after the 2012 games 80k seater but they are adamant that it will remain an athletic stadium ie; be empty

we had a rather lively discussion on the old board about the prospect of raising cash by selling the naming rights of WHL - I rather liked idea of selling it an old Jeiwsh bakery and calling it "The Theatre of Bagels"

Back in the 70's a move was put forward for Spurs and Arsenal to build a joint stadium (like Roma and Lazio) but it was rejected. However, I bet if that idea was put forward when Sugar and Dein were in charge it would have happened.

The problem with White Hart Lane is it has all the history and I rather like our ground but as we all know expanision there is a major problem so to rival Arsenals new ground (and we should be) I can only see one option and that is for us to move away.

I know it has been suggested before and and they denied by the Olympic committee but don't be surprised if that is where we end up.

I would be absolutely so much against the idea of using Wembley. From what i've seen it has red seats - that would be crazy stuff, it would render the Club's 'Never Red' campaign useless.

I love WHL but the transport infrastructure is a nightmare and any stadium resizing should in my view by predicated on this. Without a tube line we are screwed - I'd love to see a Victoria line branch running up the high-road to Enfield. There was talk of Pickets Lock a few years ago, but I can't see that now. Wembley would be a good short term solution if we redeveloped WHL. Realistically we would be better moving to (e.g.) Walthamstowe or Seven Sisters.

Wembley is the national stadium and no club side should play there unless they get to the cup final. It takes away the magic.
Would hate a new stadium if its as souless as some of the new ones Middlesbore etc

but middlesborough as a club are about as interesting and passionate as Peter Gabriel (exc last night against Basel) i mean come on they've got Steve McClaren in the hotseat.
