Can we build upon our success of 2005-06? What do you think will represent progress? IMO qualification for UEFA again, top 10 of the league and a domestic cup final will be fantastic.

Any final will be good, but main priority is to get 5th again and be in with a challenge for Champions League.
When you think Boro got to the UEFA Cup final though...you sorta expect us to do pretty well.

a top 5 finish is a must and a couple of good cup runs especially the UEFA cup, hopefully we can really have a crack at breaking the top 4 but top 5 would still be good

Deep cup runs and a 5th or better finish in the prem. Hope the fellas don't burn out. That's my only concern.

Everthing depends on depth of squad. We were struggling at the end of the season despite playing fewer matches than those around us. We be playing much more football next season so the next couple of months are crucial for squad bulding.
We came too close to expect anything other than Champions League next season IMO. A great run in the UEFA cup will prove we're ready.

We've always been a good cup side until recently, so I think it is possible to win a cup or two. If we upgrade properly, again a 4th place finish is not out of reach.

play the youngsters (Hudd , Davenport, Barnard , Cole , etc etc) in the Carling cup and stick with them no matter who we play or how far we get, thats their cup .
so that cuts down the number of games for next season by 1 if we draw Grimsby away again.
FA cup play those guys again if the opposition is Div 1 or below and a combination of them and first team players if championship team
Uefa and EPL play the first team every game
So we want 4th genuinely Chelsea Man u Arsenal And Spurs (I know sorry), FA cup semis , Carling good run gaining experience, anything will be a bonus , UEFA at least semis then who knows
keep JD and MJ

my prediction last season was for a top 5 finish but with a close fight for 4th with liverpool.
so, going by the relative success of my prior prediction, id say this season we WILL finish top 4 and above one of the current top 4 teams, probably arsenal. we proved last season we can be better than arsenal and i firmly believe the final table wasnt an accurate reflection of the season. their youngsters are a level or two below ours and i firmly believe we can fly way above them. plus, they'll probably suffer 'new home' syndrome (see soton and citeh) and we will take advantage of this.
we will also win the UEFA cup!

I feel like I'm readin everyone's Christmas lists! haha!
JD to stay, 5th or better in prem, a strong UEFA Cup run and a domestic cup, preferably F.A Cup.

We should get a top 4 finish after being so close this season, however I have a bad feeling we will "do an Everton" and finish in mid-table mediocrity after our season in the sun. Should get to semi's at least in UEFA, as we are traditionally a good cup side.

dont think we'll do an Everton and be mid table, we're better than that and have a deeper, stronger squad. a squad strong enough to cope with the prem & UEFA with the youngsters coming in for the cup games. top5 at least in the league and serious contenders for the UEFA cup. if we win that then were in the european super cup, id love to win that

I think we could well be getting ahead of ourselves here... firstly cement ourselves as a top 6 side... then go from there... look at Everton last season...
Saying that our Squad is alot bigger and better than Evertons... and mayb I am being a bit negetive... remember Ar**nal had a shocker of season compared to seasons b4
Fifth and a few decent cup runs... I don't think we got enough yet to beat @r$3 and Liverpool in the league

We will not do an Everton....they actually had one season that came from nowhere....last season was progression on the season before, and hopefully it will continue. This season didn't come out of nowhere....last summer the development of the squad obviously went to plan...

I hope your right about the Everton thing, my worry is that next season will be the second full season of playing for Spurs, for a lot of players, the other managers now know all about them, esp. Little Lennon, and play against them accordingly. It's the Sophomore effect, it's an American thing, have a great first season then nothing.

Unless we run into a disastrous spate of long term injuries, I can't see anyone taking our 5th place. With a bit of luck and another 2 or 3 re-inforcement, who could well be challenging for 4th and with at least a Cup, or possibly even 2 to go with it.

If we get a quality left winger we will finish in the top 4.. At the end of last season (especially Scum, second half) found out that most of our chances is created by little Azza and are almost man marking him... They wont be able to man mark both lennon and a left winger, cos that would make to much space for palyer like Berba, Keano and defoe.. But if we don't get a left winger every team will try to man- mark lennon, then we have to see if he can cope with that and still create chances, but really hope we get a decent left winger...

he's a good player though. when chelsea (or liverpool) played anderlecht last season in first CL group stage he was the best player on the pitch. caused them lots of problems and was everywhere, fighting to stop them getting battered, which they eventually where.
