I see Manure, Arse and Liverpool all get home ties. Well, bang goes that cup run...

I hope Reading do us now as we never win at Old Trafford and its gonna be a waste of time and effort. We all know the winner of the FA cup is gonna come from the top four, footballs becoming all too predictable.

At WHL we would have had a slim chance, at OT - no chance!!

We're going out the Carling Cup as well, so I suppose it'll allow us to focus more on the Prem and UEFA Cup with our squad not being too stretched.

Seriously lads come on. ITs like this over on COYS as well.

Its one game, 90minutes, anything can happen.

We've got to beat the best to be the best.

Well going out of the carling Cup at Semi final stage 2 seasons running isn't anything to be sniffed at. It's just who we're going out to that hurts...

Are we jinxed I sometimes think we are OT nothing ever there even the only bloody time we do win the goal didn't count can this season finish quickly please. Maybe after Wednesday it might - we are now classed as the underdogs next to Scum Chelsea and Everton what the hell has happened to us !

The last 4 will have that very familiar look again. City are the only side I'd fancy to upset the apple cart.

Sorry but we outplayed them at OT two of the last three seasons, didnt win but did outplay them, and that was with MJ, now we have a better coach surely we can go better?

PS if you feel that bad, i'll have your tickets for the game

sorry if this has been talked about before but i cant be arsed going through posts from the w-end.

with spurs having to replay Reading next Tuesday, obviously our Monday night match that week at home to Chelsea will be re-arranged.

does that mean it will be re-arranged to a date when Chelsea have all their african players back??? if so then that really does suck

edit. just seen a post saying it will be played this saturday? is this confirmed?

jrio
7th January 2008, 01:24 PM
No, it reverts back to Sat 14th.

EDIT: The following is worth reading after the discussion on this board regarding our pay scale:

"Manchester United are on the verge of announcing a significant increase in annual turnover, with the total figure believed to be close to £245m[as against our last figure of 133m].

...the club's wages-turnover ratio has been reduced to 43.6%..."

Apart from the small matter of beating Reading first. Why are most of you lot so defeatist ?

There is no disgrace in losing any match at OT but there is total glory in winning there and I've been there and seen Ardilles win us the game in the dieing seconds of a cup game.

If you want to win a trophy you have to beat these teams but you have to want to win

stacey
7th January 2008, 06:19 PM
we got a 40/50 chance of winning. If Rooney and Ronaldo playing 2getha we dnt really ave a chance especially as Berba is being a git!!!! well dis game myt push him to play his best u never no. Especially as he wanhts to move to a bigger team like this. I think if we have berba and keane and defoe and a good rest of a team we ave a good chance!!!!! i hope they get a good result::)

PMA That's positive mental attitude i've had that now for my wife and it's done us no harm so let's all show some for tottenham!

irishspur
7th January 2008, 06:56 PM
whats with all the negativity anyway we are taking huge steps in the right direction. Just give ramos time and he will turn us into a team that even the most pessemistic spurs fans will expect great things of. AND THATS SAYIN SOMETHING!

Ginola's Son
8th January 2008, 12:25 AM
I'm saying we'll win.

But if I allow cynicism to sneak in for just a second, I feel that the FA like to keep Man U in the competition until at least the semi's and we'll not be allowed to win the game. If we're doing to well, the ref will send someone off or give a rubbish penalty. Surely if Mendes-gate told you anything its that we'll not be allowed to win there.

But if we can drag them back to the lane, who knows.

hope we get past reading , spurs v man utd are normally great games and the sort of games we have to play and win when challenging for cups and leagues . ( and we are due a bit of luck against them )

and also rather play them in the 4th round then in the latter stages if ,as everyone expects , we get beat , our squad not fit enough to cope ably on 4 fronts
