well if you think about reidy's wages plus what he eats, 60k a week is cheap.
I get the impression that they want someone like bridge or barry or can cover both positions, aswell as an attacking winger. It might be good that there are few british lefties as they're so overpriced. I like the way barry plays footy, but his lack of pace means he'll struggle at left back, and can't beat players going forward so i hope we'll pass on him. You had missed out jonathan greening, maybe deliberately but i think he's good with the ball. Not the hollywood signing i would like (ryan babel mmm).

Babel is very young left forward (19) and already Dutch international. Maybe twice cheaper than Downing but definitely not worse.

Don't think we need 2 left wingers. Babel will do nicely. Don't reckon we'll play 2 out and out wingers together on too many occasions; so with 3 natural wingers in Lennon, Babel and Routledge, we're well covered; plus in emergencies, Jenas can also be played wide on the right.
