I would be worried if I was Beckham, Lennon seems ready to take over the right side for England. Lennon has made swiss cheese out of the Belarus defense tonight. I only see Lennon getting better with every game and will be problematic for any defense come this world cup. I'm just thrilled he's a Spur.

Well said. Not exactly hard to make fools of teams like that though. Oh wait... who are the ones looking foolish?

But he'll have to learn to bend the ball.

there was no end product though, one shot off target and a cross to crouch who was offside. I'b being harsh i know but sometimes his head goes down if he's not getting results. It'll come with experience.

He seems to be a quick learner. This exposure in an international will do him a world of good.

Also double his price - always important.

this is my worry.
imagine the scenario:
England are a goal down and need to chase the game. They have carrick behind lampost and gerrard with beckham on the right. Sven brings lennon on. But heres where it gets interesting.
Instead of a straight swap for becks, the dull swede decides to replace carrick, joe cole, lampard or heavens forbid, gerrard, so that beckham can move inside.
This move then destroys englands shape. They reduce lennons effectiveness as now we have beckham playing long balls frm the centre up to crouch and owen, instead of the more refined carrick playing the shorter, quicker ball and the new attacking ploy fails miserably.

And becks will be captain for 4 years when McClaren (Tom?) takes over!

Beckham can't be touched, he's captain and will be for a while. Sven won't change that and McClaren with his Man Utd links won't drop him either.

Becks has lost all his desires except perhaps those for Spice. Can't see him contributing to England's cause.
