Well we've had some close on results against them in different competitions last season...
But I wouldn't say we are bigger than them as much as I hate to say... They have CL football, They are much higher than us in the table...
But just like Chelsea, We can really spend money!!! The only thing is, We've got a sporting director in the way of what we should be spending our money on!!!

Chelsea are the Newcastle of the South.
One important distinction being that they've won armfuls of domestic trophies in the last decade whilst Newcastle's last one was over 50 years ago.

I've always been of the view that a measure of a big club is it's standing in European football over and above it's position in the domestic scene. Obviously this is difficult to qauntify so the only way to do so is to count the amount of continental tin pots collected in say the last 30 years, do the maths!

How they was described not long ago by many I do believe. Then came all their manufactured success.
Both clubs are always in the limelight for the wrong reasons as well, I think it's a decent enough comparison.

In one respect, spending big on players for no success and changing managers regularly, Spurs are more akin to the label "Newcastle of the south".
