My only problem with all this - i cant trust what Levy says - IMO i think Levy is saying that so he ensures top dollar for Berby come Jan window - methinks that perhaps he already knows that Berby will leave in Jan.

And i still stress - if BERBY wants to go - its BERBY'S decision - he will have wanted to leave in the 1st place.

There still has been no official voice from Berby to say - "I want to stay - its great here". - everything has been media speculation and his agent talking (who you cannot trust).

I expect him to leave in Jan - or at the latest end of the year.

did you not see the applause to all four sides of the ground after the Reading game, Berbs is going and that was his last appearance for us at WHL

Yeah, also after his fourth goal he took a look around the ground to soak up the adulation, my instinct told me that would be the last time we see him at the Lane.:(

Yeah i noticed that too, unfortunatly it looks like he's off soon.

Should be interested to see whether he's in the side tomorrow or if he's 'rested'.

He's only going if the club agree to sell him. That could only because Levy figures he can get significantly more now than in the summer. That points to Chelsea, the only club that would have the means and the need, and be willing to pay up to 30m. It would also end our season.

I don´t think he´ll be gone in January, but he´ll go for sure in the summer if we don´ t win any trophy ... If we manage to bring at WHL UEFA cup, or FA cup, maybe Carling Cup... he maybe stays one more year...

If you've got a house, put it on him leaving in the summer. There's more chance of Gallas signing for us then Berb staying another season.

If he leaves us it will not be the end of the season. We have the best strike force in the premiership for gods sake. I of course will be gutted as he is an amazing player but its not like we don't have proven premiership players to take his place. We still have our best striker - robbie keane and darren bent is proven to get 20+ goals in the premiership.

Darren Bent and Robbie Keane with jermain defoe on the bench can still get us into europe.

That's very far from being demonstrated. Uncertainty surrounds every striker except Keane. I wonder if we'll ever see Ramos try and pair Keane and Defoe together? Part of the problem would appear to be, allied to the slightness of Mal and Lennon in midfield, we would lack physical authority and strength.

It's very confusing at the moment... One minute Levy said we're not a selling club... Berbatov said he wants to stay at Spurs, His agent said he wants to go...

So Berba needs to sort it out?
