Yer ive heard that on COYS site. A good signing as he can be backup to chimbo and could be ready in a year and a half time if chimbo leaves.

Bale would help him settle in and be a big factor in him coming here. Lets ****ing hope we sign a good centre back.

But im not sure how good the kid is?

Me neither but from all the reports I've read on him he's supposed to be another Bale. Imagine a left footed Bale at LB and a right footed Bale at RB now that would be class.

But yeah first and foremost we need a quality CB with alot of experience who's at the very least 26 years old and takes charge at the back.

Couldn't agree more. And i rather have a young lad who can be eased into action than stalteri who is at the age were he needs first team football.....................plus his shyt!

Chris Gunter, very promising, seen him with wales the last few internationals, dont think he would be in the team from the word go, but one for the future!

An assessment from a Cardiff fan:

"You are getting a cracker in Chris Gunter. Don't know whether there are plans for him to go into the first team anytime soon , but if he does he won't let you down.

The lad is going to be a hell of a player (already is to be fair) , and it bodes well for Wales to potentially have our two best young full backs playing in what is likely to be a succesfull team for years to come."

Here's another from a Cardiff forum,

I see some on here are asking why Spurs will pay £4M.

Well, they can see that the kid has HUGE potential. He has pace, a good brain and strength. At the age of 17/18, he will only get better and better. Look how much Ledley has improved over the last season or two.

Spurs paid £12M for Bale, people laughed at that - it looks like in the future that will be a good bit of business. Same as Gunter will be for them.

So thats £4M going into the bank, not a penny will be spent on players and we've last 1 part of our crown jewels.

And worst of all, Capaldi will be back in the team

Bull

Very promising, skilful, can def be a good player in PL. Could be better than Bale but I am not of that opinion. WS82 may be a better bet for info as I'm a Swans fan and I ****ing hate Cardiff.

Yeah, but we're Wales and anyone with a remote bit of quality gets in the team. How else do you explain Danny Gabbidon, Carl Robinson etc? Do they even have quality? Wales have a serious lack of talent basically. I mean Steve Evans is a squad member. The guy plays for Wrexham. They are 91st in the 4-league ladder. Says it all really.

I may as well mention there's a few rumours flying round that Chimbo may be off in Jan.

Meant to be in financial difficulties so will play where the money takes him.

Talk of Villa...

I watched that on coys who do you think is going? Chimbonda? Do you think thats why we want hutton?

Hopefully a swap deal with villa involving laursen, but i would just like a good centre back.

Im looking forward to getting rid of a few players.

May i say what a nice young lad he is. You can tell by just listening to him he will be a passionate player!

I think Chimbo will stay due to the fact that he is able to play centre-back too.I think there could well be surprises this window.

I can't work it out tbf but rumours are flying that he is going? I don't know what to believe i hope he stays at least to end of the season but then if we can get hutton in now before the big 4 come in then why not?

Saying that steve finnan isn't getting any games atm and i allways rated him!

I won't be heartbroken if Chimbo goes. He doesn't seem to give a toss about the team, unlike players such as Keano and Defoe, who play their hearts out for the team every game. He also tries to many fancy skills, which a right back can never afford to do. If we got £6mill plus for him I'd happily say goodbye.

I think chimbo will be leaving. Reports say we won the race for Hutton, and apparently Chris Gunter was going to take the medical. Two RBs, plus we've got Stalteri (who's useless but a RB nonetheless) and Ifil
