This is gonna be one of those games were we will hit the post 7 times throughout the match, Then they'll score on the 89th minute or something...
A draw will be a good result if we can atleast get something out of it, But I want revenge against those tossa's...

Well I think we have as good a chance as we've ever had since Wenger has been there by virtue that we are far better tactically and coaching wise. And if we do play well and take the lead then we won't stop playing and get hockeyed second half.

Big ****n game. The biggest NLD for a long time Ramos first and I'm sure he'll want to win big time. Ramos wins this and he's a Spurs legend already. The scummy bastards will probably field their full strength team here's a player by player break down from my perspective
Robbo/Alumini - Robbo shits all over him in my book when Robbo is on form like the last few games he's one of the best around.
Chimbo/Sagna - They're ****n identical in their playing styles not much in it there.
Lee/Glichy - Glichy is probably a bit better than Lee going forward as he has a good left peg and is fast as **** he's probably got Lee.
Kaboul/Gallas - Depends what Kaboul we see because the one from the last few games has been incredible but even so Gallas is fecking class and always shows up.
Zokora/Toure - At CB Toure hands down but Zoko has been playing very well there hopefully he'll be available because of the appeal process.
Lennon/Rosicky - Lennon is a better winger and will hopefully keep Glichy pinned back most of the game but Rosicky is very skilful to. I'd pick Lennon though everytime for RW
Malbranque/Hleb - Malbranque has been lethal for us lately but Hleb is a dangerman too and there's not much in it between these 2 on present form.
Boateng/Fabregas - If Boateng is given a man-marking job on Fab I think Boa would thrive and shut the little diving prima donna down. Boa is strong reads the game well and tackles powerfully and clean. This match up could decide the game but Fab will start hitting the dirt as soon as he sees Boa so the ref will most likely play a big part in this particular battle if he lets protects Fab or treats him like a regular player.
Jenas/Flamini - JJ at present would shit all over Flamini I'm confident JJ and Boa can win the midfield battle.
Berbatov/Adebayor - Both great target men but I think Berbs is a more complete player and his finishing is better but Adebayor is not one to underestimate he's got a very good alround game.
Keano/Van Pervie - both quality but Keano is a special type of player and with the goon rusty coming back from injuries I would take Keano everyday of the week.
It's a big game but the way Ramos has us playing right now I think we can nick it 2-1 and this will be a historical day for us as Ramos wins his first ever NLD. But as long as we at least get a draw and manure win then we will knock the goons out of top spot and I'll be chuffed to bits. Can't wait for the game I see no reason why we can't win it or at least get a draw we're playing class at the minute.
I think wingers on each team will be crucial who ever collectively has a bigger game between Lennon/Malbranque and Hleb/Rosicky then there team will probably win the game. I can't wait this game is hugh and to knock the scum out of 1st place would be a great Xmas present.

I just hope we don't get embarrassed! We haven't fully turned that corner yet and this will be our biggest test yet.
Even if we don't get nothing from this game we will still have 2 home games over christmas which could be 6points in the bag!

Would love to say yes this is 3 points for us but with all our defence problems ie injuries and suspensions I think we will struggle. We have a more realistic chance beating them away from home in the cup but cant see us getting a result here.
I would settle for a draw but can see us losing 2-0

I hope we don't go 1-0 up. Seriously, I've lost count of the number of times over the years we've taken the lead, gone ecstatic, then sat back and either lost or drawn. I don't think this will happen under Ramos, as we look far stronger and dominant in games than we have been for ages. Hoping for a Spurs win of course, but I'm never optimistic going into the game that we havn't won since the 90s.

They aren't like us though, they thrive on that pressure, they're just winners. We need to take a leaf out of their book - this might work in the carling cup but not the league against the 'adult' team. We just need to stay competetive and win over the 90 minutes.

Ramos is here these bastards better be ready for us because he'll have us going straight for the ****s throats from open to close playing the beatiful game the way it was meant to be played. I really can't imagine their fans are at all worried. They've gone behind to us multiple times over the past decade, never lost and often won 3-1. Going one down is a fairly common experience for them at the Emirates and then they usually win in the last 10 minutes. Nil-nil is a possibility but if we concede in the first 20 minutes we could get a pasting.

They've got plenty of knaves, not queens, Eboue being prominent amongst them. As a combined diver, referee-berater, thuggish fouler and injury-feigner, who has ever come closer? Even Savage seems to lag far behind, and after the hatred I felt during his conduct in the 1999 LC Final I find that astonishing.

He began his career there, I think he's a lifelong Spurs fan though...?
Anyway, he got chucked out because he's English, and now he's bossing a game at their home ground. Only he's playing for the opposition.
Think he's having a good game, started out being out of position a couple times - at one point he chased the ball and was furthest man forward. But he's grown into the game, putting his foot on the ball, picking out passes both short and long, tackling and tracking back - he's going the whole nine yards. Let's hope he can carry it on for another 45!
I thought to myself (but daren't say it out loud) after about half hour that we looked like the home side. We had the ball, we were knocking it around, we just weren't creating clear cut chances.

A very disciplined and solid display from the boys, if lacking a bit of an edge up front. Berb has had an awful lot of ball from dropping off but been too slow to release or find anyone. Lennon has been almost completely owned by Clichy. O'Hara's looked like a player with a point to prove and is not overawed in the slightest. I have the feeling if Arsenal are going to score it will be breaking from one of our attacks in the latter stages. I actually told a friend I thought it could be nil nil, largely basing this on our solidity in the last 2 games, and thinking Ramos would have learnt a lot from Sevilla's 3 nil defeat there.

You'll never get a penalty for that kinda tackle and Andy Gray got it right when he said if that was outside of the box it would have been a free kick.

A game of what could of been .. Keano hitting crossbar and missing the penalty.
All in all a solid display by the team and they did a lot better then I thought they would when I saw the teamsheet. A lot of non first team players out there today and they gave it their all.
Only critism is of Berby, seemed to give up on a lot of balls today but then he did do his job and get the ball in the back of the net.
O'Hara what a blinding debut.. faded towards the end when he dropped back to left back but all in all if he keeps that sort of performance up he is going to be a great player for us.
Chimbo and Kaboul were great at the back except for the second goal and looked good togeather.
Things are looking up, we lost today but the future does look a lot brighter.

On a serious note, as much as I always want Tottenham to win with Arsenals current form this was always going to be a hard result. I was expecting us to lose but I wanted to see how we performed.
Simple fact is, regardless of Andy Gray keep saying that Arsenal were poor today, I actually think a lot of that was to do with us. Under Ramos, even with the injuries there are so many positives.
If we had scored the penatly, probably would have changed the game and we would have won but it is what it is and we lost. However, there is no way under Jol we would have played the way we did today. We don't even have a proper back four and today we defended like a team.
The Ramos impact is clear for all those who know anything about football to see.
Look on the bright side guys, I wanted Arsenal in the Carling cup semi because I think we can do them and with a couple of players back and the away leg first up I think this could be us in the final.

Did anyone notice how far Almunia was off his line when he saved the pen from keane ?? - at least 4 yards.
Another day that would have been a win for Spurs - The Carling Cup is a winner for us if we continue to play like that - Full of spirit, fight and a will to win.
Honestly - who thought we never had a chance against a full strength Arse ??

We didn't capitulate. In no sense did Arsenal overwhelm us. The missed penalty was the obvious turning point. The subsequent winner was because Bendtner had just come on and no one had pointed out he needed to be picked up.
Very disappointing for Ramos who did everything right. Compared to our last 2 matches against them, when they completely outclassed us, embarrassingly so last season, this was a revelation. Special mentions to O'Hara, who looked like he'd been starting games all season(apart from that blip in losing possession near the end), and Tainio, who was aggessive, alert and determined.

First set-piece conceded with Ramos in charge IIRC.
Should've had a second pen. Keane and Berbatov both had mares today, neither got involved. Keane did three things all match, set-up Berbatov with the back heel, hit the bar and miss the pen, other than that he was invisible. Berbatov lost the ball so much i'm wondering who he's playing for. Did well to score from where he was though, but that was all he did.
Our first half was unreal, we were the better side and for that alone we deserved a point. Their first goal no-one tracked Fabregas(?) run, I think O'Hara was in the middle with Kaboul there too, and neither picked him up the outcome of which equalled Goal. The second, well we all saw it, Hudd ran into the other bloke, a prime example of why you need players inside the box picking up a zone rather than everyone on a man.
Lennon never got out of Clichy's pocket, he's so far deep inside it he's gonna take all week to get out.
O'Hara did well, Huddlestone came on and looked alot more mobile. Defoe came on and had no effect, personally I wanted him to start ahead of Robbie. Boateng had a good first half. Chim and Kaboul done their job, Lee had a bad match but on the other flank Teemu did well. Only one point against him was when he jumped into the tackle - oh and getting booked for what he got booked for and Styles didn't give Toure a booking for diving through the air in his own box...!?!? Go figure.
We had nothing up front, we got lost when near their box, we need players with flair, who will run with the ball and move without it, that's the way Ramos wants us playing, but with the current bunch many are being found out trying to play it.
I wasn't expecting a win today, but what can you say? At least we show more heart and effort than in previous attempts in previous years. We meet again another two times this season, let's hope the outcomes are different.

He just gave up after we went 2-1 down. I can see his point - blinding finish to equalise and won the penalty that should have guaranteed at least a point - and we still lose. But Hoddle never did that. Hoddle was criticised for not running round like a headless chicken but what he did was let the ball do the work, and he was always in the game until the last minute.

It just isn't enough to hit the target. Anyone can do that without any pace to beat the keeper. Enough England players have done the same in our shoot-outs. It was a very high pressure situation and Keane was unable to cope with it. After his earlier miss, I wasn't filled with confidence. Given

Yeah!!!!
Our defenders only seem to defend well when it suits them... Bendtners goal for example, I didn't even see any of players jump for it as it came inn... We even had Huddlestone who's a midfielder covering Bendtner before he scored, Shouldn't a defender be marking him instead for ****s sake?
Our defence is so poor, that even the midfielders are having to come in and help...

Imean our strikers ere a bit lite weight today no aggression and between the 2 no pace, well not enuf to beat any of arse back line,
anytime adebayor stretched his legs he was away, or cesc or hleb, for that matter, and their not blessd with great pace but they attack the space.
we did outplay them for periods of the game, but looked inept in their last 3rd, composed but werent getting past their defence,
our forwards need to be more aggressive, in final 3rd, to unease them,

We should have won today, we played exceptionaly well for the side we put out. I saw the team & thought the worst, but apart from poor marking at a set piece & a lapse in concentration we matched them all over the field.
Apart from the fact it was the scum i'm not pissed off with that performance.

Ramos and co. should now forget this NLD match and try to concentrate for our next two home matches vs Foolham ( wednesday) , and Royals ( saturday ) which are vital for us considering being very near relegation zone... just hope this disappointing result ( not performance ) vs scum don´t affect us vs Foolham... :( COYS !!!

I like the fact that we look so much more organised in the last 3 games. It's noticable that when we lose the ball, we have the 2 banks of 4 protecting Robbos goal. The goals from distance we were conceeding should be greatly reduced with such organisation.

Do you ever get the feeling 'why do I bother?' Why put myself through all that drama again, when it's so obvious that in the end we'll lose. I can't help thinking sometimes we are the most unlucky team in the world. 9 times out of 10 Keane would have scored that pen, yet because it's against Arsenal, the team we havn't beaten since 1999, he misses. I've lost count of the number of times we should have stuffed the ****s, yet end up losing or drawing. I'm sure it will be the same in the Carling Cup, we get ourselves hyped up for it, play well yet end up heartbroken again. I couldn't fault our performance today, overall it was fantastic. Yet you get the feeling that it's gonna be a long time until we finally beat Arsenal again.

The thing is mate i don't.We put out a team devoid of up to 6 first team regulars, the majority of which were in defence. We also were without our best attacking midfielder in JJ, who has improved greatly under Ramos. We were going to the Emer-shits with all that, and STILL should have got something from a team who had a first choice squad to choose from.My confidence in our team has risen greatly in the last few games. We will win the semi, and reach Wembley.Keep the faith, because this manager we have is WORLD CLASS and WILL make a difference.

I take your points mate, and agree that we are DEFINATELY improving greatly under Ramos, yet sometimes it just seems like this club has absolutely no luck whatsoever. We always seem to play so well against Arsenal, and deserve at least a point, yet it appears to me we really lack a killer touch, and that when the big chances come, e.g. the Keane crossbar and penalty, we are almost too scared to take them. Against a team outside the top 4 Keano would have buried them every time, but sometimes it appears to me the big occasion is too much for us, and the record of not beating a top 4 team away for something like 57 matches says it all. I just hope Ramos can improve this, and fast.

Yet you are right. The future is most definitely Ramos, and it will be very bright. Once he has assembled his own team, we will all be shitting ourselves about how we can hang on to him when Madrid et al come calling.
Otherwise, I suggest we give GS a call and commit mass suicide. I understand drowning can be very relaxing once you bypass the initial choking sensation and surrender yourself to death.

Well i saw the game on TV and thought that we played superbly considering that fact we have a new manager, an injury plagued team, a makeshift defence and it was an away game after all.
The only disappointment apart from the obvious loss and missed penalty...was Berby falling over too much and his negative body language. This guy has sublime skill but lacks motivation sometimes and he showed he can turn it on when he wants but too often he fell when he could have stayed on his feet and the knock in the face was bloody pathetic really.
Anyway, all in all a ****ing great display and a very unlucky result which just seems to be the same old story really doesn't it?
I really think we can salvage the season and most importantly build for next season.
Even Robbo played well!!!!!
I was disappointed to see Taraabt at the end hugging and laughing with the Scum players though. Turned my stomach a bit!

we lost for one reason only , DAVID FECKING PLEAT , i dont know if you guys had the same commentary team that i had , but when we got the penalty PLEAT was going on about how keane never misses , i was pulling my hair out screaming at the telly to shut the feck up but he just kept going on and on .
afterwards "woops" he said " maybe i should retire " , too fecking right mate , tossering old kerbcrawling feckwit , and all game he kept banging on about what a lovely stadium it was , great team etc etc arse are , shut the feck up .
anyway against the odds , good performance , cheered me up when i thought we were going to get stuffed , let down by an out of sorts keano , but i wont hold it against him .
the difference i saw in the sides was that arse always seemd to have a man free to pass to , that comes with them having a more fluid , comfortable on the ball , and confident team .
there are early signs of this with spurs under ramos , and we are definately going in the right direction .
