Does anyone know if we'll pick up a fee if Edgar leaves for Ajax?
I vaguely remember us signing him on a 2-year deal, or was it one with an option for another?

i would think there would be either a small fee, or return of some of his signing on fee somehow. It might be that the fee's were allocated by seasons anyway.
I'm glad to see him go actually, thought he was great for the first ten games or so, but looks a bit of a liability and causes friction with other players. His performances second half of the season were average at best for me, and on that i don't think he represents value. Also the acquisition of murphy and ghaly hinted that atleast one was going, and i figured it was him. hopefully he'll take murphy with him. Also hope ajax will let us sweet talk ryan babel into the deal. I'm fantasizing about him and lennon on the wings in the white of spurs.

I think we'll do the honourable thing and will not demand anything other than what shoot ffs suggests being a pro rata amount of the signing on fee we gave him.

i hope davids stays for another season as his experience in europe will be priceless nest season. just having him in the team lifts everyone else. the main reason his performances dropped in the 2nd half of the season was the fact he was playing out of position on the left rather than the centre where he is best

I also hope he stays; but with the qoutes coming from Holland, it looks as if he'll go. Agree with Highlander about him playing out of position.

yer there were a few clips of mitea also but he looks seriously lightweight, whereas babel is big and quick with two very good feet. please mr levy, perlease

Just read on teletext that the new Ajax guru has spoken to Davids who has in turn supposedly stated that he wants to return there. Surely this must go down as an illegal approach!!!

babel is amazing lets buy him!aqnd as for davids...let him go to ajax and we dont need any new cms apart from maybe zokora if we can afford him...never seen him play but heard good things
