Keano and Berbie could form the best duo of the PL...

keano has his moments but he also misses some sitters. He had a few pens this year, one of which he missed and i can recall 3 goals (blackburn, villa and citeh) that weren't tap ins. I'm not knocking his all round play but that should be of a top standard from everyone, whatever position they play. From what i've seen of berby, he's gonna be the one in the six yard box, so robbie's goals may dry up. I'm hoping defoe will get more of a chance. To answer your question about england, he always played better for ireland than clubs, as when he's leading the line he's not so reliant on others being on the same wavelength as him. England play totally different from eire, and with our current crop of strikers i wouldn't see him getting picked for england. Hoping to get a look at dixon tonight when eire play chile.

I reckon Keane is top class, maybe not world class.

Current crop !!!!!!!!!!!!! Rooney,Owen + Defoe. Others aren't worth talking about really. Of course Keano would get picked.

I agree...look at it this way, the strikers in geniune contention for the WC I would list as Owen, Rooney, Defoe, Crouch, Walcott, Bent.

Keane is currently a better player than at least 4 from that list.

keano has to show next season that he can play good football fpr a hole season... He has got one half season where he has been world class, but he has to show he can do it in longer spells...

He has moments of absolute brilliance. He's capable of doing things that most players will never be able to do, but he's not an out and out striker and until the last half of this season he has been very inconsistent.

All strikers go through difficult patches but he stuck in there when he was overlooked worked hard and took his chance in December and hasn't looked back. Last season was average alright but his dad died and maybe this played it's part. Anyhow let's hope he picks up next season where he left off. That's all that matters.
