:mad: considering what he said to defoe a few weeks back about needing to start and play more games (MJ soon straightened the little git out tho :D ) who else is pretty peeved off with the special treatment sol campbell, ashley cole and micheal owen are being afforded?

i knw they are all top players, certain starters and svens babies, but this rank hypocrisy makes me sick.

the thought of swp going ahead of lennon has spurred me on to start this thread as it seems sven is using this flawed logic to almost cancel out fringe players he might not like, defoe being one of them.

its just wrong and i for one cant wait to see the back of him. :mad:

He's terrified of dropping the bigger named players. Not for fear that it might not work, but for fear of getting grief about it. That's no way for a manager to act.

There are a few players completely immune to Eriksson's axe - Beckham the prime example. Not so long back Eriksson says his ideal England side would be made up of players playing CL football. Not hard to see how some get on regularly then. Note Phil Neville out of the frame as soon as he left Man Utd, ditto Heskey when he left Liverpool, not that he should have been an England player no matter who his club was. Anyway, if Defoe -or anyone else for that matter - doesn't play for England then he won't get injured with them. So no problem then. Just need him to start performing for us when he does get the chance.

Was in the papers a few months back. Don't know where in WHL has a lift though - certainly not the East stand!!

i'll be glad to see the back of sven and i can understand owen and cole walking back into the starting XI but campbell should just retire, if he cant even cope with west ham and his apparent comeback was ground to a holt by someone stepping on his toe which is the biggest lie i've heard in a long time. campbell's finished. still i dont see what criteria beckham uses when he picks the team.

and yes footballers wives is set at the lane and has been for as long as i can remember
