I hope so too.
I also hope this team don't **** up this trip to Israel.
If they do not have 3 points in the team bag on the trip back home then they best not make that trip. I will be pissed. We've already made fools of ourselves a million times this season. One more right now is not welcome in the slightest.
I want to see efficiency of the highest order. I want to everything to be spic and ****in' span.
This is our 3 point trip. 3 points or bust. Will not be happy if people **** about. Get in, get out, 3 points, lovely. Then the real work starts on Sunday. Another potential banana skin.

I think this is going to be a much tougher game than most people think. Isreali football has come along way over the last five years, i still think we'll win it but its going to be tough.
And they will throw themselves to the floor at every opportunity, so we'll have to keep an eye on that.

Zokora (would like it to be Boetang though)
Jenas
Lennon
Keane
Berbatov
On another nore, does anyone know when Bale is expected to be back, will he make Wigan?

But no seriously, anything less than a 7-0 win should be viewed as failure. Ok we've been in a few troubles this year so i'll accept 6-0. But nothing less.

Im going to go for a 1-3 Spurs win but i think it will be a very tough game. Im looking forward to seeing who Juande opts for in midfield and up front, im hoping he restores Keane and maybe partners him with Bent. in midfield i hope he keeps Boateng with either JJ or Zokora in the middle, with a run of games i think Boateng could make a big difference to our underperforming midfield.
Tainio and Boateng would make a decent central midfield partnership in my opinion.

Could very easily say that the two central midfielders of ours are not central midfielders. Can't tell you what they are, but central midfielders they most definately are not.

They're footballers, Spur, but not as we know them. Very surprised if Ramos doesn't make at least one change at ht. Spurs are fairly dismal with only Berb, Keane and Mal having any ideas.

Oh that was bad. Really bad. Really, really bad.
Important to get a clean sheet - Keane just said it so I reckon it was drilled into them before the game.
The Israeli's were happy to settle for 2-0 and so were we. They are in the same boat we were two weeks ago re: manager - in short it was like two Tottenham Hotspurs playing. Very nothing football. We just had a little more about us. Not much else to say.
They got ten men behind the ball, and they only had ten on the pitch. That tells you alot of what happened. They crammed their own box with 6 players when defending too - so pretty tricky to cut through.

if its the former then they didnt show it on the ball cos we was 11 v 10 and still didnt sweep the floor with them.

I didn't watch it either because I was working but it's a good result and good to see Berba getting on the score sheet plus Robbo getting another clean sheet. If they defended like Spur is saying then 2-0 is a good result.
I watched the man u game yesterday too but I thought they looked pretty good although they didn't get out of 2nd gear all game. Ronaldos goal was a cracker as was Rooneys but Ronaldos little cut in on the defender was sweet and the finish was class too.

At least we have won. We played a weaker opponent away this season ( Famagusta ) and didnīt win, so itīs improvement. First away win this season...only in November...:o

Win's a win for now. This is nothing more than what I expected; Ramos to come in and gradually make the team more solid, fit and efficient. In time he will make us quality all round. He's doing the business. Wins and clean sheets are what we need now and he's doing it. It will build confidence and we will get better and better, but there wasn't going to be an overnight miracle.

Fair enough a win is a win, however, we did play against a very weak side and one extra man in the second half. One would expect much more.:o

Remarkably Peter since Martin Jol has left you've taken on an incredibly negative outlook.
When we drew 1-1 with Famagusta you said it was a good result!
Are you sure your not Jol's nephew?

I am seeing things as they are, being realistic. I just expected the players to respond in a much more positive way, especially trying to impress the new gaffer. I don't recall saying that the Farmagusta was a good result.
My post read as follows:
Wish I was, I wouldn't have to pay to see them play, now Boeteng played and suddenly he is not quite ready for Premiership, but quite a few of you cursed Jol, Defoe cost us our win today with at least three clear sitters, the only mistake Jol did was not substituting him.
Dont' bother apologising Spur, I don't expect one.

And no I won't apologise for it. Especially as you've only just taken on the realistic view. Welcome to the Club. It's taken you long enough.

Thanks for your concern and guiding me to the lighten-up website. I will look into it so that I will change my negative opinions towards the Spurs team at present.:D As I mentioned, I was only trying to prove a point, no apologies were ever expected.;)

Well , We should have been awarded a penalty due to Keane's shot which had then came off the arm for a spurs corner why not a penalty? But overall first half spurs great game second half boring Bent should've scored when he took it round the keeper only to tap it in to hit the player sliding in use your EYES bent look first!

i agree. no one really took the bull by the horns and said to Ramos, watch me play im the dogs bollox you gotta pick me . Sure the forwards scored but they hardly ran the weak defence ragged tho i know they were outnumbered 11-2 .
Then when they went down to 10 men we didnt make any effort to give ourselves a good scoreline to lift ourselves. Im not saying 8-0 stuff but 4or 5 would have been expected with our 'quality' v their poorness. Yet nothing happened , the team looked like they were unmotivated as per V Getafe (where they had every reason to be 'weird' even if it was unprofessional), players were moaning at each other a lot instead of being positive.
. Still want to see us killing games off getting morale boosting results rather than 'blimey that was boring thank gods its finished' results. And that game was a sitter for a morale booster.

No. He jumps across the goal with his back toward the goal. His arms are in their natural position - he doesn't stretch or anything. No intent whatsoever.

well a win, as for the score we should of won by a length, bent a clear chance, and also keane missing 2 clear chances,
the 1 off the defenders block, he had a lot of time and this is what puts question marks on keane, world class strikers would of buried those 2 chances he had,
and full marks to ramos for making the changes early, as it ultimetly will keep all 4 strikers on their toes, and kowing they have to take their chances when presented with them
in long run robbie will be much sharper and clinical inside the box

So we can expect 50 goals in 30 games from Robbie anymore, is it?
I don't know why you want to focus on the misses. Every player misses chances, they are human you know.

misses can and will cost points/games, and im sure if defoe or bent miss chances u,ll make a big deal of it too,
and they do miss chances, what i am sayig is having scored the 1 goal he went on to miss two other golden chances,
keane needs to regularly score those other chances to be considered a world class striker, compared to van nist, eto,o ,drogba etc,
their goal to shot ratio says it all,
and as i said he is our best striker at present..

If Defoe and Bent score 25 in 33 games you won't hear a peep out of me in terms of goalscoring. That's supreme goalscoring. Get a grip Neil.
You'll probably hear me complaining about Defoe's movement, decision making and link play though.

if they had a pretty much unbroken run of 33 games with pretty much the same partner they most likely would score that sort of number. However im not taking sides just making a point.

Well they'd have to step up a scoring level to do it and their all round game would also have to step up a notch, two notches for Defoe, to be as good a striker as Keane.
I think Bent will become a class player for us, I think Defoe will end up moving on.
