Bit of a squeeze even if the UEFA should be a walk in the park 2nd leg 1st round (for us) tie.
Its amazing how a bit of TV money can make you risk a cup and 3 pts against a team who'll we'll be challenging seriously if all goes to plan.
On the other hand we play the Scum staright after the international break, now they have South Americans and Africans galore, we have mainly Europeans o/than Zok and Lee both of whom are expendable so that could be good for us too.

thats the reason why winning teams have big talented squads, to cope with schedules like this, not just a second choice group, and players rotate to keep every1 match sharp.

It stupid i remember bobby robson moaning about it when he was the manager for the barcodes. But im afraid that's what it's all about, hopefully we can string some wins togeather and get going in the league!

Precisely. When fit we have 4 top strikers, 4 top defenders, 3 decent full backs & one not so decent, potentially 4 wingers & about a million central midfielders. We definately need to add about 3 more players, clear the guff & that's a squad to cope with the punishing schedule that comes with success.

here's the players I feel are worthy of first team football
GK Robbo & Cerny are both good keepers
RB Chimbo is quality and Salty is solid on the right
LB Lee & Bale both do a good job and Ekotto has potential
CB King, Dawson, & Rocha are all quality and Rocha is very vesitile to but I feel Davies or anyone better than Pony is needed because he's really shat
Wingers- Lennon, Malbranque, Routledge, and Taarabt are all quality but a left footer would be nice
CM- Jenas, Zokora, Hudd, Tainio, Boateng, and Murphy I reckon we should get rid of Murphy and Tainio then buy someone like Stevie G.:D:cool: or van der Vaart or de Jong or me I'm pretty good. On a more serious note this Boateng kid could be the one we need so fingers crossed.
ST- Keano, Berby, Bent, and Defoe all quality
So really the immediate concerns with the squad for me would be to first and foremost SELL the Pony then buy Curtis fecking Davies and Morten Gamst Pedersen.

I've checked many websites, I can't find who we are playing in the UEFA Cup on that thursday.
I think you're mistaken, I'm sure we don't have a UEFA Cup match.

not made the draw yet but unless we're on TV or we're being kind to our opponents we wouldnt play SUndays unless its for us playing the previous Thursday in the UEFA, as per last season when everyone changed to Sunday for us except Chelsea and that was cos they had CL match the following Tuesday/Wednesday so they had to rightly look after themselves.
