Due to the fantastic response I received last time , thought I'd post another one...

French coach Raymond Domenech has branded Julien Faubert 'unspeakably stupid' for signing for West Ham.

not football related, but I think this deserves honorable mention.....

"I've been a bit of a useless tosser up to now."

Great stuff, Tom. I was only one of millions in puzzlement for hours last week when you failed to identify who issued the quote and their subject matter. Are you trying to branch out from the graphs? At least you tightened up your act this week, only to be upstaged by canadaspur within minutes. Doh! How about making this a weekly thread so we've all got something to remember to ignore? ;)

new quote of the week; "I think he'll be a huge player for Birmingham, I really do":p

Steve Bruce on the iminent arrival of one Ahmed Hossam aka Mido, aka Pieboy aka el gordo.

Do I need to add anymore?!

Faubert's now out for 6 months with a ruptured achilles tendon. Domenech criticised him for signing for a club not in its national top 4 so he could well have said the same thing had he signed for us. Faubert was told if he wanted to leave it was WHAM or no one, presumbably because no on else bid at their level.

I'm going for Mourinho saying, 'There are 5 title challengers; anyone of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manu and Tottenham can win the title.' :D

He goes on to say, 'Tottenham have kept their best players and have made additions, so I think they can fight for the title also.' :D

A bit premature I believe, but when a guy with Mourinho's credentials speaks of you this way, and you were a fan through the 90's, it can only be good. ;)

I don't care if he is using us as a mind game tool or if he really means it. I think he actually means it, but even to be used as a mind game tool like this is a sign of the huge strides we are making!

Surprisingly, Mourinho has generally always been pretty complimentary about us. Although he's a cock, it's nice to see.

I think it's because he genuinely likes our ethos and how we are building a team. That is how he would do it, of course aside from our style of play and dignity which is the antithesis to Mourinho.

But I do think in our case he geniunely respects us, at least in his world.

He has very cordial relations with Jol, but as Benitez said, that usually changes when a manager starts regularly getting results against his side.

I think we've started that already.

But maybe when we are a major rival he will behave differently.

I remember before the Chelsea FA Cup game where we went 3 1 up, He said that 'Spurs fans are much noisy than our fans' meaning it in a good way, I think he must like Tottenham...

Shuggie13
22nd July 2007, 11:56 AM
I think Mourinho genuinely has a respect for Jol and us. There haven't been may sides that have taken advantage/caused him to radically change tactics like we did in that FA Cup match. Like others pointed out he must look at how we operate and have built a squad and admire our ethos.

I also think the 5 teams comment was also a little bit of mind games against Wenger, pointing out that The Scum's position in the CL places wont be so sure.

I gave out to him for that, more than anyone. That was stupid immature shit, but he is only a young lad.

I mean in how he has behaved towards other people, especially when getting downright abuse from adults who are 'supposed' to be more mature.

jrio

If you want to be treated like an adult, try to behave like one. I don't find it difficult to ignore honest mistakes, but utterly moronic behaviour is a different issue.

I'm not saying he is an adult. That's the point.

jrio
24th July 2007, 03:41 PM
But he's on a forum heavily populated by adults, a large number of whom won't be seeing 30 again, so he must expect to be judged as an adult or at least aspire to that.

If he is a kid and not a moron i'm all up for giving him a little slack. I've already put him on ignore once which got me whole load of abuse. When i took him off and tried to tolerate his pointless polls/threads i had to put him on my RickyH list and got another load of abuse.

If he's a kid with this kind of mentality he's in for a big shock when he go's to the pub populated by people who go there because they all into the same thing and tries to fit in by speaking inane drivel which when he gets ignored or put in his place gets all abusive and punchy.

I know i was that kid once :o

If I need to see the latest news on Tottenham, Theres always the Spurs website, sky news, bbc... But I thought on here people knew what they were talking about when it come to Spurs...
