it's just a load of sensationalism from what i've read. there are no bung clubs and only one deal which they won't disclose, subject probably to the proceedings against the arrested 61 year old. it's only about non disclosure. until fifa force agents to disclose then it's all speculation. still glad we not named though.

The opinion of the SSN "expert" is that it's only the specified transfers that are subject, with the agents and possibly managers being the ones in trouble. It's likely that the clubs themselves are blameless. I would expect it to be the dodgy agents that are in for the high jump, with Allardyce and Souness being the most likely high profile casualties. Any suprise that the two Newcastle linked people are the dodgy ones? Not me.

There's no evidence, nor any accusation, of any illegal payments so there's no question of any heavy punishment for the 5 clubs. Transfer regulations appear to have been broken which would probably result in fines. There are concerns that a few of the agents refused to co-operate fully with the inquiry.

Given WHAMs jammy points-deduction-avoidance-skills this season, I can't see anything more than a fine for the clubs involved.
