guess none of us surprised that our appeal was rejected! think it would be fair to say the premiership committee treated it with as much contempt as they did our initial request for postponement on sunday ( when they spent the day being wined and dined at highbury not giving a damn about the health risks our players risked by playing )

Much has rightly been made of Dein's role in all this, isnt it also the case that sky - whom the top premiership clubs are so dependent on these days - were apoplectic at the prospect of the times of games being changed on sunday, or even put back a few days!

We then have a situation where it appears that a word in the england managers ear - by dein or wenger? - results in that england manager selecting a player for his world cup squad who he has never ever seen play (whom no one outsieof southampton has actually seen ) Goes without saying that when considering these events there is something very odd - corrupt even - going on here! This of course is not too mention dein's role in the scolari fiasco - aparently this being a diversion so they would not approach wenger for the england job!

The crazy decisions we have seen over the last few days clearly have not been taken for footballing reasons!

Clearly there's a job for a good investigative journalist here to delve into the whole set up of the premiership, influence of people like dein, influence of sky tv etc

to answer your original post about journo's, i have found it a little strange that journalists haven't really been badgering the FA about this. I know there are lots of tests to come back but the processes involved with the possible postponement are extraordinary. It seemed such a simple way to ensure fair play, which is for the good of the game. usually lawro is filling back pages with his opinion and both he and hanson were suspiciously schtum on MOTD.
