Reports say the Edgar Davids is on his way out of Tottenham to finish his career in his homeland, with Ajax the most likely destination. There has been a lot of mixed feelings about the guy over the last few months, his perfomances dropped, then an injury and he never really recaptured his early season form, although his performance against West-Spam was his best this season. If he decides to move i'll be sad but i've really enjoyed seeing the dreadlocked one in the lillywhite shirt, especially when he dumped ray parlour on his arse early season... that got one of the biggest cheers at The Lane this season. Quality.

True his performances have dropped after christmas but his experience on and off the pitch is very valuable. I hope he stays but i think he will return to Holland.

It can only be a good thing if he stays, another year for his experience to rub off on the younger players will benefit us long term.

but if he goes, we should retire the number 5 shirt ;)

Is it still speculation? He hasn't said it yet.

I think we got him at the wrong, time a year before he would have great. But say that I think his great full stop.

I will be happy for him what ever he does.

sorry i think he can go, we brought in two new centre mids in jan so someone was obviously earmarked for the door. He was certainly good in his first 10 games, but he is also unreliable (against newcastle twice in same game) and gets paid a lot of money to be a risk to the team. He has strengths also but i think strictly on value, and the fear of him losing it and getting himself sent off (arsenal game), he should go. To be fair jol should have subbed him at arsenal as it was a good bet he'd go after getting booked in the first half. Things could have been very different with 11 men!! Davids and murphy to go for me.

Does anyone know anything about Ghaly? He's been with us since Jan yet weve seen nothing of him.

think he played a couple of full games for the reserves, but i didn't hear anything outstanding which is what you would expect.

I thought Davids gave us the bite and drive in the middle we needed and is part of the reason we did well, even if he did go off the boil. I shall miss seeing someone of his rep in the team, but I think it was worthwhile. On a shallow note I only paid a fiver for my Davids T shirt in the club shop so its not too disastrous

I wont be too disappointed if he does go as we have too many centre mids as it is, and he is a big wage earner at the club. It was good to have a legend in the team for a season but if he stays for another year I fear he may become a laughing stock, as his performances post injury have been shocking.

this guy was one of our greats, which instilled a hard metal to our midfield that released carrick to do an awsome job this year and for that we should be thankful.
GOOD LUCK MR DAVIDS WETHER YOU STAY OR GO IT'S BEEN A PLEASURE TO WATCH YOU!! COYS

I think he'll stay on for our Euro tour next season. He didn't sound like he was leaving when I read his official site

Davids was sent off at the end of the game, dont think it would have made much diff.

The guy is a legend and I can only thank Martin Jol for letting me see one of my all-time favourites in a Spurs shirt. If he stays, great, but if he leaves, then thank you, Mr. Davids.

I don't think he will, he signed a 2-year if my memory serves, he's a determined little chap and I think he'll want to finish the job by bringing us top-4 finish next year, and the UEFA Cup!

Well I do hope he'll be around and as long as we don't pretend he can play every game he could still contribute....................but as some of you have said........if not then thanks for a great season.

He is a Legend after only one season. After two it would be even better.

Very much so...he's been in my "Dream team" since I was 11!
