Someone in the hotel and catering industry who has very close contacts with anyone and everyone in Premiership football hospitality has told me that it is well known that the Marriot West India Key is one of Arsenal's favoured London hotels and is used by them for corporate and social functions. He suggests that Arsenal are there so often, it is thought that some Arsenal fanatics have got themselves onto the staff in order to get close to their idols. In these circumstances, with the enormity of what was at stake for their club, he believes it is not too great a leap of imagination that the Tottenham buffet was tampered with.
