View Full Version : Who do you want out?

Ok it's all over. My Prozac has kicked in and I guess we should all be happy that we could still talk about our team being competitive at this time of year. Normally in May we are talking only about next season.

Who do you want gone in the summer? For me;

Reid - will he ever get thin. He could actually use some food poisoning.

Tannio - a player that puts himself about, gets into scoring positions but goes knowhere.

Davids - If only his pace, stamina and ability could match his competitive spirit & determination. We need a similar player several years younger.

Who else?

I would not sell TAINIO. he is still of value to our team and very good squad member. I'd rather see Mido go than Tainio. Mido is spineless and has no real desire to play for us. but I'm sure we've all given our share on IN/OUT's during recent weeks.

Mido is probably already gone, Bunjy is on his way. I also think reid will leave, as will Gardner, Naybet, Kelly, Ziegler(unfortunatly).
Tainio has to be kept, he's been quality all season.

Paul Stalteri as first choice to leave... (I will not mention those players who did not play all season as I presume that they are leaving at the end of the season )...then Tony Gardner, not cause I donīt like him, but just cause Huddlestone and Davenport need more premiere matches to show their potential...

Not me mate, Teemu was the ONLY player to really put himself about and put his foot in when needed, he is always available for a pass and makes nice forward runs. He's David's direct replacement and a player who will do very well for us in Europe next season.

I'd get rid of Lee but keep Stalteri as a back up. Murphy can go as well as nobody has yet figured out why we bought him or what role he fills whern he does play unless he's content to play second fiddle to Carrick.

couldnt disagree with you more, all 3 of them should stay. i think gardner, bunje, naybet and jackson will go.

Teemu is one of our more consistant of players, I really don't understand why anyone would want rid? Anyone whatsoever. Even though your the only one. Don't get it. Really don't. On your own.

The old ones like Naybet and Bunji will be out even any prompting by the fans. The other I really want out is Porky.

Have to disagree with you shoot_ffs... Would like to keep the young players like Ziegler, Barney and marney...

And I don't want Lovenkrands as he's not really quality, at least not for the danish national team. He got the pace, but that almost it, + he reminds to much of Defoe and Keane, and I don't think he has the qualities to play on the wing..

Let me just state for the record that I have never previously posted anything on this board regarding Tainio, you have mistaken me for someone else. I am however willing to concede that I have been well and truly shot down on this one and I guess years of therapy will get me through such a setback.

I believe Tainio is a player that gives 100% of what he has every time he plays. However for all his efforts I also believe that one goal in twenty three starts is not impressive for a midfielder of his type (call me crazy). It's not as if he hasn't had his chances to score this season. He's aggressive yes, it seems many people respect that. I believe that the great midfield players "put themselves about" and "get stuck in" yet still score half a dozen goals or so on there forays upfront.

Maybe you're right and for me to say he should be gone was harsh. A squad player would be fair, but Tottenhams Roy Keane or Viera in my opinion he is not. If I am the only person on this planet that believes that then so be it.

I dont think its a case of being "Tottenham's Roy Keane", we all just appreciate his efforts and value him as a Spurs player.

P.S Who needs Roy? There's only one Robbie Keane! One Robbie Keane!

out- Reid, Jackson, and Mido reasons being 2 of them are having a season long pie eating contest and the other one's just plain shite.

To comment on the Tainio banter I think he does give his all in matches but if what Keano said about his training ethic is true then that would explain all his injuries and I think he should be told train hard or bye bye.

what did Keano say?

spurs61

He said that he does n't do any training and is the worst professional he's ever come accross. Ironically that's the one of the most unprofessional comment I've heard from a professional footballer regarding a team mate.

I never heard that part, but the training bit is what I was getting at.

I'm afraid he did, he also managed to get into fisticuffs with Davids, these are probably the last players I'd want a fight with (except for Lee), maybe Robbie sees himself taking on his namesake mantle?

The Davids Keane fight got alot of publicity and in the end I think it did more good than bad. Tainio has alot of potential to become sicknote #2 and the training thing would make sense lets just see what he's like next season.

Murphy has looked out of sorts at Spurs. I say sell him with Fatboy, Tannio (SHite of Shites), Salteri and who evere is in charge of feeding the players.

Touche. Well done mate

Have you thought of working for MI5?

I would be happy with 5-6 million for the 2. Their combined wages will be enough for someone decent.

Teemu stays put - no question. We all complain about not having a left-winger, well surely Reid is good to keep on the bench for next season when we play many more games. The others like Bunj and Naybet do a lot behind the scenes I think, why else would Bunj be skipper of the reserves...?

Oh and Houdini logic/Nym/whatever your called these days, who the **** is Bruce?
