if it turns out that the poisoning incident was exactly that, then the FA and Spurs should assess the game on it's merits. Surely with the technology available, systems like those used by opta and prozone could be used to thoroughly assess the players stats for the game, and measured against other performances this year. I mean as far as running times, distances etc which as we could see was obviously affected. I would expect this to show a significant drop in performance say 30-40%. Also, interestingly it may have had a psychological effect on the spurs players who weren't ill, showing a drop in their performance levels, and a raise in performance from the west ham players as it was clearly an advantage. How much below par were we?
If spurs can prove that we were unable to compete then it could be a case for the game to be replayed. Perhaps only if Barca beat arsenal in the CL final.
