His Agent said he WILL be a Tottenham player next season, and that is the ONLY official thing we've heard about it

I think its crucial we play in UEFA cup next season,to maintain the core of this squad and attract other quality...
The fact his agent has said he'll stay is obviously positive cut i think all footy fans must take what a lot of players and agents say with a pinch of salt..Berby seems pretty ok as a bloke, but if the big money comes in who knows....hope he stays a truly wonderful player,to be honest far far better than I thought he would be in his first year..

signing a deal means nothing now aday. i hope he stays for the good of tottenham but if an offer comes along who knows what will happen. i'm not a pescimist if that's how you spell it just a realist

as said a cntract means nothing really anymore , but with our pay structure ( not that im complaining ) 1 of 4 teams in england could come in and conceivably double or nearly triple his salary along with offering him champions league footie next year , whereas spurs are at least another season away . would be a tough call for anyone i think that isnt a long standing natural fan of their club.

I just hope if Berba does get the chance to move on in the summer he stops and thinks about just how good this team can become with him. He did reject Man U for us in the summer, and I personally think he will stay at least for another season, and hopefully we can do enough next season to persuade him to stay longer.
