oh well the nitenmare has happened and the scum have pipped us in the most awful way imaginable ( think i'll wake up any minute and it'll be sunday morning and the radio will be saying wenger's slagging off pardew for fielding his entire youth team against us today !)

But what bout next season? Personally think we need couple of top line players to get into top 4 next season - cant see us finishing ahead of the the blues, the scum, unt or lpool with the current squad next year!

so who should we go for ? ( yes know it'll be harder now we not in CL) Have been strong rumours bout robben leaving chelsea all season and jol is a admirer of him - personally think he'd be a great signing!
Also in view of fact it looks like Van Nistelroy's career at utd is over should we go for him? Offer a swap for defoe? Again think he'd be a great signing?

With robben on one wing and aaron on the other - and a quality striker like Van N to take the chances theyd create - we'd take some stopping! Okay we'd let a few in but hey thats spurs isnt it!

As for this season well yes we'd all have taken 5th at the start of season - but dont think many of us would have at halftime at highbury 2 weeks ago!

but still well done spurs - and MJ in particular - for giving us our best season since sherri and jurgen were in tandem a decade ago!

Proud of you spurs - oh and COME ON BARCA!

yep im a HUGE Van Nistelrooy fan and would love to see him at the lane. a left winger is necessary possibly even 2, Ben Arfa and 1 from Chelski's vast array of wingers soon to depart i.e. robben or duff, and if the budget can stretch to it then chimbonda and bridge. if we sign both the full backs 2 wingers and Van tha man then we will seriously challenge for silverware and a CL place.

Totally agree with you Highlander.. We need all the players you just mentioned plus a quality "target man" like Berbatov, Kuyt or Nistelrooy...

i think we'll have scared a few of the big teams for next year, and it looks to me like henry will go so that's really good news.

our young unbalanced team has held it's own this year and was a nats willy from winning the champs league lottery. I think it's been remarkable especially as ledders has missed a few games this year. Jenas and lennon have grown to be two of our best players within 9 months, so progress has been made, and i think the uefa cup will probably help us plot steady growth on the pitch rather than having a huge focus on champs league giants. In reality, we wouldn't have won it so the target for next season would always have been 4th, and i think we wouldn't have done that had we qualified for it this year.

Today's events have been a sickener, for everyone, and especially as west ham joyfully slaughtered us (come on liverpool), but if we have to be cheated then it shows how people fear us, and that is a compliment.
