Why exactly? I don't think Dyer is at all a bad player. Possibly/probably better than Jenas.

If it did happen would he be like Jenas though, good for prev team, crap for us......

....oh and watch Defoe go to Man Utd in the summer. And then smack a few past us next season and establish himself as an international. I can see it coming.

Too true Welshie, it's been said so many times on here before, but he'll go to United and be top goalscorer. Probably get a Champions League medal too.

Dyer is one player who has impressed me this season. He's one who certainly was in with a shout for team of the year, but like David James he still shouldn't be in the England team.

Saying that he earns 80k a week, and as long as Newcastle keep paying him that ludicrous amount expect him to stay there. Until Pompey come in with 85k.

I actually think Dyer is an exellent player and rate him highly. He's had set back after set back through injury but is now having a run injury free at the moment. If he were to stay clear of injury (long term injury) it could prove to be a very astute bit of business.

I for onr think dyer is a great player on his day, but is something we dont need. can you see him and jj in our central midfield next season? Basically we will be turning into shitting newcastle.

Lets just buy a solid creative warrior for centre mid next season not another sicknote ( tainio bad enough)

So you want to hold on to Defoe even though he barely plays just cuz he'd be going to Man Utd? i'm all for keeping him but thats life, Carrick went to utd and he's still at the same International level he's always been at, as long as Utd go for Defoe and not Berba then it's all good, if all of the paper talk keeps linking Defoe to clubs and not Berba then I really really dont mind :p

Dyer's a cock, he wouldn't give a shit about the club, and would just piss his unjust wages away in all the Soho nightclubs shagging essex girls instead of geordie lasses. He would turn in indifferent performances, and he prefers playing in the middle so he'd just winge on if played on the flank. No way can he play with Jenas, and don't even suggest him instead of Robbie. All round bad move if you ask me, better, more appropriate players out there for 6m.

Dyer's not a bad player, but not for me i'm affraid maybe Scott Parker would be a better bet.

Dyer ain't bad, but he's not a team player and will not add the dimension we need to our midfield. Parker would be the better buy, but I always worry about the attitude a player will bring from St James. As for the wages, I can't see how an irregular international is worth 80k..but I'm about to start a rant, and everyone here knows how I feel about the Barcodes already, so I shan't bore you all further...:p

Wasn't it Dyer who completely ignored Robson's instructions?

At least they have friendly women up there!!:p

Anyway he wouldn't come we dont pay more that 45k to players

Wasn't it Dyer who completely ignored Robson's instructions?

Didn't he throw a strop and refuse to play on the right of midfield because he felt he should be central? Also lets not forget the wonderful relationships he forms with his team-mates!! He was lucky that gareth Barry stepped in coz Bowyer looked like he was going to rip him a new one.

Imagine this forum next season if we do buy Kieran Dyer!! The Jenas debate is long-winded enough without adding a similar Dyer version. :p

**** that, where he would play... on the left (no left foot so that doesn't help) centre mid??? that would just make us even more lightweight in midfield!!

Hate the **** and wouldnt want him at WHL

agree with those that would rather have scott parker than dyer , but would take a swap deal jenas for either of em too be honest if the wage bill was to stay the same .

as regards salary cap , i think the 45 k celiling is going to have to be broken pretty soon , you can imagine the sort of sums that are going to be offered to entice berby during the summer , but what the feck is dyer doing to get paid 80k

first off we should keep the cap for as long as possible, let them go if they want the cash rather than the pride even if its Berbs if you cant live the rest of your life happily having earned £45k a week for 8 years then you can get lost anyway.
re Dyer doing what???? he sells a load of shirts to the numpty Geordie supporters who worship his name cos its short and they can spell and read it easily (thats why they bought Owen even tho they knew hed be injured) .

ps no offence to any of t'lads on here like man
