The sort of game we should win but probably won't. Draw.

i think they've got Woodgate & Viduka out which makes them far more suspect at the back and far less dangerous up top. this is the type of game we'll walk if players like Berba, Keane & Lennon are having a good day.

They haven't got anything to play for and Villa beat them 3-1 after being a goal down there. A lot depends on the attitude of the side and not giving away goals easily.

to motivate the team Jol just has to put up a sign saying all players to report back for pre season training 10th June so we're ready for the intertoto. If they want a break then they only have to play well for the next 4 games , if they dont then they deserve to have to come back early.
2-3 to spurs Berbs , Chimbo and JJ to score

Going to be a tight one and very tricky for us. It is a game we should win but we never do seem to when we have to.
But in saying that got a feeling we will sneak it 2-1.

I know mate and i really do try but i keep getting my heart broken we're like battered housewives who come back for more because we love tem and thats why we take it :(
I think 8 points would be enough but i reckon we need to win at least 3 out off 4

I know what most of you are feeling, and I share the same sense of resignation and defeat right now. But the players are feeling this also, and it's time to get them back on the up! Some may say that it is the players job to keep positive and we react accordingly, but in cases like this I feel that if we were to rile ourselves back up and start shouting their names from the rafters again, I'm sure we can instill them with the belief, determination and adrenaline needed to take us back into Europe.
So come on lads!! COYS!!!!!!!!

Normally I would fear the worst over this type of fixture given our away record this season. I think a win is on the cards after a good rest and Boro battled hard last week for their point. Going for 2-1 to the Spurs with Berby and Keane to score...:)

We could have done without Liverpool fielding a reserve team, but other than that it's been a very good day for us. Hopefully the Barcodes will have one of their good days against Reading..
It's worth bearing in mind that winning our all-important game in hand would take us fifth..

Yes sopcast is free, but you must also be aware of spyware and crap like that, my one is fully tested and clean, I have uploaded it to my server, all people need to do is click download and free, and also you get a download speed quicker then the crappy sop cast server's, also people can look back on the post if they need sopcast.

3 great goals. Class volley from Berba, pure technique, and terrific work to set Robbie up. Lennon showed why he should be a RW and nothing else as he set up Keane, and more positive play form Jenas, hopefully fuelling my belief that he's going to come good next season. On top of that Steed showed why he should be in the first team each week.
HOWEVER! We've conceded another 2 goals in a game, with only one clean sheet in 6 months. We absolutely have to tighten up at the back. Ever since the West Ham game we've started rolling out the red carpet to any attack that gets within 30 yards of our goal. Is this a failing of training, a basic lack of concentration, or poor covering from midfield? Either way it needs sorting if we're to be certain of getting 3 points from Blackburn

Phew, just got back from New York, first thing I did was stick The Football First showing of the game. What a great performance at a ground where we never win, ok shipping 2 crap goals is not good, but getting the points was very good, I was tickled pink in the big apple when I heard we got the win.
And WHAT a goal by Berb.

havent seen the game in depth , just the goals , but i would put our defensive frailties generally down to poor covering from midfield , opposition tend to have too much time and space ahead of our front four , leading to long shots or passages of play where our defence are on the back foot .

Hope you had a blast in NYC. Was there myself last September and my sister just went to live there for a year. Mad place but awesome nevertheless.
I tend to agree that it is the failings of the midfielders to cover effectively. While Zokora has been effective with his forward surges, he switches off an alarming amount when tracking opposition midfielder into and around the box. Jenas is lax too, but as the actual DM Zokora has to take the onus on this.

Thanx mate. It was TOO good.
Yeah, we do have midfield shortcomings, that much is obvious, but there we are fighting out for the UEFA places...this is good for a team that has conceded 52 goals. We are up there.
