Spurs are apparently intrested in chelsea reject jiro jarosik. There's no point in just buying guys like ghaly, tainio, murphy ect we need to buy quality established players who will improve us and take us to that next level of consistency.

I want a quick skillfull technicall gifted left winger not the jolly green giant in jarosik.

We need to buy a left winger who will be in in our starting 11 straight away! WITH A LEFT FOOT!

Exactly what I was thinking when I saw the news. If we really have ambitions to break into the top 4, signings like Jarosik are NOT going to help.

backward step if we buy that plank

Bring back Chrissy Waddle, he could do a better job now.... rather than anyone else that has played there. What a player he was!!!

One again we're the laughing stock!!

If we buy him then what does that say for our ambitions for the next few seasons?

I want quality and i want it now!! I cant believe we dont have a left footer in the 1st team or reserves apart from gardner and ziegler who's in italy ****ing shite!!

Calm down guys, if everything we read was true, Shevchenko would have joined us shortly after Rebrov, Robbie Keane would be due a testimonial at Celtic and Aaron Lennon and Ledly King would be warming the bench at Stamford Bridge.

We are all well familiar with the first commandment of football reporting.

"And thou shalt link any player who seemeth in any way usettled with the club known as Tottenham Hotspur, regardless of whether they have any interest or not"

I would take no notice, pure paper talk but if they are gonna link us to a player at least have the audacity to make sure there ****in usefull and not wastes of ***** like Girosick.

As i've already said on another thread, Nakamura would be a better bet.Let's hope thet've got the wrong hoop.

Jarosik would be a decent buy for Villa,Pompey or possibly the barcodes.

He's actually a half decent player, but this is obviously paper talk. Aside form the fact he has just sent out a come and get me to Spurs by loving us so much, there's just nothing to say we had people watching him.

In the past we were linked with McGeady, but I think Nakamura, with his obvious set-piece (something some would say we aren't lacking in though) appeal has a certain merchandise plus point as well. I think Nakamura is one you can definately say is moving this summer. To Spurs? Only time will tell.

yeh looks good, some free kicks on target but then when you know all you have to do is get it on target and it will go in cos the opposition keepers (Thailand,Oman etc) arent good enough to stop the basic stuff its easier to get it on target .
In the premiership he'd mainly have to get it on target right in the corners with speed to beat the keepers whod also be positioned better in the first place and have a more effective defence of the free kick set up. So more pressure on for 'perfection' = less perfection . Im sure ronaldo,Lamps, Gerrard, even JJ would get every free kick on target if he knew thats all he needed to do

Not too sure we can take too much from clips versus mediocre opposition, and that includes other clips of him in the SPL which lets be honest aint much better than Oman!! but definite potential there but are Spurs any good at bringing thru potential like that??? I wish we were but that seems to be more Man U and scums strengths

I've been to watch him and the 1st time around he was a bit lighweight but now he knows about the rough and tumble of the scottish league and prem etc and trust me he's harder than many might think.

He can play wide left or come inside and creates loads and has a sweet sweet left foot as demonstrated in the 94th minute on sunday to clingh the title!!

I wouldn't make him my number 1 target but if we got him i wouldn't be unhappy at all

did u not see his free kick against united then? wouldnt call van der sar some remedial from omar, would you?

nakamura is class and i wouldnt dismiss a bid if we dont go for gamst and petrov

does have a great left peg but from what ive seen he's more of a creative central midfielder and not really an out and out winger which is what i think would suit us best however as central midfield options go he'd be a fantastic addition

i didnt call anyone a remedial from Omar or even Oman, if youre gonna quote get it right and dont put words into other peoples posts that arent there. Talking about the ones on the clip supplied by Spurs' link they were all seemingly in the Asia cup or similar.I didnt see Van Der Sar in the clips and im sure no one else did and i wouldnt make a judgement on a player from one free kick V Man Utd as im sure JJ scored one last season!!!

Jarosik is a transfer that will never happen, however Dyer is one that could. £80k a week! Ab-so-lute-ly staggering. I want to be sending players to Newcastle, not buying them with their outlandish salaries. No wonder they have no hope of winning anything with paying never haves those sort of wages.

80 grand??!!! For what?! Getting lashed and shagging mingers down the quayside?! **** sake, no wonder footballers are such ******s...

I know a couple of stories about him actually. The cleaners where I work are contracted to clean the Toon footballers houses. Apparently they were cleaning Dyers apartment, and knocked on his bedroom door to go clean it. He told them to go in, and there he was having a tug on his bed with a bunch of dirty mags! Hacky ****!

The other is he moved to a new house, and they went in to clean after he'd left, and they found a big bag of money in his cupboard. They rang him to tell him he'd left it and he said "Oh I forgot about that. Just have it." There was 20 grand in it!!

yeh, and you still get nutters paying nearly there own weeks wages to go watch these spoilt ****s two or three times a week, to idolise them and get their names tattooed on their arms only for the players to up and leave .

Then you get sensible people like you who despite living miles away support a decent club

"Manchester United, meanwhile, will attempt to distract themselves from Chelsea's imminent Quadruple celebrations by haggling with Tottenham over Dimitar Berbatov and Jermain Defoe - happily for United, Spurs's approach to negotiations will be much like their approach to football matches: they'll resist stubbornly at first, before capitulating pathetically. And any money they manage to make on the deal will quickly be deposited in Kieron Dyer's ample pockets, as Tottenham will eventually agree to pay the midfielder the £80,000 he currently - cough - earns at Newcastle."

I see Mido has a groin injury yet again. Don't believe a word of it.

In the future the Premier League will have 9 clubs who play each other 4 times a season. Relegation will be limited to one club who will come straight back up again the following season.
