can't believe we flogged him for 2m. think the old football zsar might have something to look into there lol. Seems bizarre we let rohan ricketts go for nought, that or we got first option on lescott.
I'm not gonna rate everyone but will say my piece.
been a bit disappointed in jol, it's taken him til the last five games to play in a more attacking way, which is best suited to our players and makes us more of a threat. We are better than most of the teams in the league so have some guts and go out to beat them.
Player plusses: i think lee as been a quality addition to the squad, and although not the perfect left back, he's earned his place and been a good buy for the money. Dawson and king have been outstanding, just wish ledely would roar at some of the others sometimes. He's inspirational with his defending but should try and transmit that to the others. Carrick has had a good season and deserves a call up, but he must be a man and come forward more. No team is gonna win all their games with a 3 man midfield. Jenas has been excellent when played centre mid, and has come up with the goals. probably the biggest plus of the year for me. He seems a supremely confident young man and i think he'll lift other players out of their shells too. Lennon also looks great and has improved beyond our wildest expectations. Come on sven, you know you want to! Tainio will be better next year as he has had tonsil problems all year. Davids has been the biggest disappointment for me, he started well, but doesn't seem to play very well as part of a team. He does his job don't get me wrong, but nobody knows what he's going to with the ball and his passing and decision making regarding poor tackles are below par for me. I don't think we get value out of him compared to other players. Sell Murphy. I still rate defoe and think his work rate is good unlike others. He pulls defenders all over the place and creates chances for others. He's also good on the ball, and with a left winger next year he'll be banging them in. I think he'll love the space in european football also. Feel mido has let both us and himself down, his attitude has changed since the african nations and he hasn't done enough or looked hungry. In fact i'd go as far to say that he usually looks full lol. Lets hope for fourth and a better year next year.

i aint disappointed in jol AT ALL. he is the only manager in the premiership that doesnt moan when things don't go his/our way, he just accepts it and moves on. he is very mature manager and a true professional.

I think MJ learnt early on that to say too much gets you nowhere. At the beginning of his stint he was having niggly rows with a couple of people and he must of thought better of it. Ian Dowie was one!

Gardner has done better than 5, alright he's crap we are all agreed, and everyone has been critical of him because he made us lose vs West Brom and Newcastle, but he has done better toward the end and performed well, not great but got the job done. I'd say 7. Or 6.

Some very generous ratings, particularly for Salty, Naybet, Porky and Mido. Defoe is worth another point.

You said it! You may have had your reasons but I ignored them because any bad word said about Martin Jol is wrong. Plain wrong. No criticism of him - and that's if we win or lose today.
