I watched Green Street last night and did anyone else start chanting Yid army with our lot? LOL LOL it was a good film, just ironic how they had their pub trashed when they did it to us!
Knobheads, but alas, they'll still get to have fun with Millwall in the first division  ;)

Not a big fan of Green Street, the whole concept of Elijah Wood being accepted in the ICF seemed a little too outlandish to me. Like Football Factory, it seemed a bit keen to pander to the FHM/Loaded reader who has no knowledge of football violence but thinks it is something funny and laddish that he can impress his mates in the office with. That said, the book of Football Factory is absolutely excellent and should be read by everyone with an interest in the game. It's more about urban decay and isolation than simply booze-fuelled violence and the humour is much blacker than anything Danny Dyer's limited acting range is capable of portraying.
Movie-wise, I would rate The Firm and ID as being the best hoolie flicks, the former due to Gary Oldman (and not alot else, the ending is just embarrassing) and the latter because it does actually raise some interesting questions about institutionalsiation and social conditioning (and sensibly uses assumed teams). Both turn up pretty frequently on Bravo, although I'm guessing most people here are familiar with both films.

gregzy...your review of Green Street and FF was bang on. Green Street was so bad. I was laughing watching that bloke out of queer as folk trying to act hard. He was the least convincing footie thug I've ever seen. Elijah trying to bowl along with the others was worth the admission price alone.
Football Factory was a lot better, mainly because of the big guy out of lock, stock who really stole the show. Danny Dyer is dire!!
ID is a classic. 'I really fancied a good ruck' 'I love you gumbo' It has great character actors in...especially Sean Pertwee, and an intelligent plot that doesn't always pander to cliche.

Green Street & Football Factory are the biggest lot of shit i've seen............Frankie Harper plays a good part in FF though, he use to be a Millwall hooligan years ago.
