funny but in the old days things like that (celebrating so openly and over the top) at your opponents ground was seen as inciting a riot .

hats off to the guy for having the guts and the strong enough feelings to do what he did, shame on the stewards for getting there so quick when the fat bastards done very little to stop chelsea over celebrating and starting the trouble in the first place. it was ****ing obvious it was done to wind spurs fans up and the fa should do something about it, obviously not much more than a paltry fine .

If and its a big IF that fan decides to press charges against the chelsea players for hitting and kicking him, will those who have stated on here they saw things back him up in court?????? i'll have to try and watch it again but when will it ever be shown? or is it on youtube already????

I'm probably going to be in the minority but I can't blame their players for protecting and having a dig for their own.

One thing though, why wasn't the fan going for Cashley, bonus points there surely?

If it was a Scum fan attacking ours we would all be celebrating the players.

Let the the debate begin..... :)

****** bloody misses him **** . i reckon he got there then bottled it same as the guy there later did lol

cant really see much , maybe one of them puts a foot in but cant be sure and as you say cant blame them standing up for your teamates too right. , tho why it takes 6 chelsea players 4 staff and 4 stewards to stop one guy is a bit excessive

ahh Wembleys a dump anyway

Coming from a steward (in the Paxton thankfully,) and more importantly a Spurs fan, that guy is a prick.

This is the kind of shit that will get a club heavily fined, and at worse thrown out of cups, have points deducted etc.

Yeah it was funny at the time, but I'm sure Feyenoord fans thought it was funny when they rioted until they got hauled out of the UEFA cup.

There is no doubt in my mind that Frank Lampard and a number of other Chelsea players should be prosecuted for assault. I had a clear and unobstucted view of the incident and Lampard (and others) were clearly kicking the spurs fan on the floor after the danger had passed and the situation was under control.

Whilst it's clearly unacceptable for a fan to run on the pitch and punch a player its equally unacceptable and unlawful for the Chelsea players to take their revenge and put the boot in. Having watched the incident again you can clearly see a steward forcefully push Lampard away, Lampard reacts and attempts to go back and attcak the steward but is restrained by others. From where i was sitting it was clear that the steward was pushing lampard away because he was kicking the stricken fan.

the law on self defence is clear and only reasonable force can be used to protect yourself from attack. self defence does not allow a person to take revenge after the perceived threat has passsed. At the point of the kicking the fan had numerous stewards holding him down. Not only this but Lampard had every opportnity to walk away. he didn't instead he chose to put the boot in.

If this incident was caught on CCTV in a town centre lampard and the rest (Drogba, Terry etc.) would all be arrested and charged. lets face it Terry has got form. The Police and FA should invstigate and i'd be prepared to act as a witness.

In addition to this Terry, Cole and lampard should also be dealt with for making obsence gestures and screaming profanities at spurs fans in the park lane at the end of the game which led to the ugly scenes later. Personally i feel Terry should be stripped of the England captaincy, this is no way for the England captain to behave and is a bad example to kids.

The Chelsea players were a disgrace and in my view behaved in an even more appaling manner than the spurs fan than ran on the pitch. They are the yobs and the cowards for kicking a man when he is down.

The bottom line is chelsea should have been told to get off the pitch after a couple of minutes..because right or wrong anyone with half a brain could see it would wind up the spurs fans and some idiot might lose it...same happened when the scum got the point for the championship at the lane couple of seasons back..they were allowed to celebrate for ages then a load of spurs gathered to get at em and the stewards had to hold em back..Arsenal then left sharpish..even rsol scumball had the sense to get off the pitch right away...there was trouble after last weeks game..and the police were out in massive numbers...so y let chelsea jump around and kiss badges like they always do..with jose punching the air etc....of course celebrate..we would but think about it..its not good he invaded the pitch but chelsea aint untouchable and i know the prem league would like us all to sit and politely clap but its never gonna happen..so have some common sense....the geezer was out of order simply because of the fall out to the club...but chelsea took the piss....mind u sputrs dont giv a flying **** bout the fans now...

nice one Andy are you a regular who doesnt want to be noticed or a genuine newbie??? not that it matters.

but i doubt if spurs will stand up for their fan, surely if its ok for Cantona to jump into the crowd to attack someone its ok for someone to jump onto the pitch to attack a player (ok i know its not but im also sick of the double standards afforded the overpaid prima donnas )

thing is instead of wasting a caution running onto the pitch, save it for afters and kick the skank down the Tottenham High Road.

will look forwards to the league match at the old dump maybe we can end their title challenge after theyve got knocked out of Europe and before they lose to MAn U in the final and leave them with nothing for the season and their three ****ing amigos leaving for Spain. kiss your badges then **** off somewhere else you honky sons of bitches :D

WHO?? FRANK LAMPARD :D

i wouldnt sack him if i was the boss , depends who he works for/with

did the stewards hand him over then or just put him back over the fence? seemed to me they were walking him towards the chelsea skank lot.

Lampard definitley incited it, he was cheering in our faces down in Paxton before he obviously went up to Park Lane and did the same thing.

oh yes, I forgot, losing a game of football entitles you to hit a member of the winning team by the very traditions laid down throughout the (fairly recent) history of the game in this country. Hell, burn down the ground and attack team coaches if you can, you have a right to:rolleyes: :(

Ban the dick, put him on an assualt charge, convict and let him see what real tough men look like.

Saw on BBC World that there'll be an investigation into Lampards "assault". They showed footage of him definately putting a boot in, and pushing the steward. I'm sorry but who does he think he is? Being a footballer does not make you eligible to push around those who are there to keep the game safe for us. What do you think would happen if you pushed a copper who was trying to help someone? These players need bringin down to earth with a ****ing bump i tell you.

Nothing will happen to the fan, probably fined and that is it. Whoever is saying jail must be having a laugh. I don't know if any of you watched Comic Relief and heard that guy beating the crap out of his wife and kid on the phone while it was connected to the Police but his punishment was nothing more than a suspended sentance.

Anyway, the fan should be banned for life not for what he did, but for being a shit fan.

I mean, if you are going to go to the trouble of getting that close, at least hit the player and don't make an ass of yourself like he did. I don't like Lampard but he did mug the guy by simply ducking and watching him fall onto his face.

However, I think the Chelsea celebrations were way over the top for a quarter final match.

Fact is, like against Arsenal, we were two goals up and blew it.

I have no idea what domestic you're talking about but FYI any voice recording that hasn't obtained the protagonists permission to record is inadmissable in a court of law, and also if it's on Comic Relief it must be 100% accurate, cos they aren't self serving and self important in the slightest. As the incident last night, (which incidentally I knew would be blown out of all proportion, well done Sky and the Sun aka Chav Scum News) was captured on a live publicly broadcast channel me thinks this chap could be in a spot of bother, he's going to have a job explaining why he entered the pitch in the first case, a clearly premeditated assualt, bang to rights and bang goes the door of clinky.

Statement from the club on the website!!

With reference to the incident which followed last night's FA Cup replay, we can confirm that two fans entered the field of play, one from each club. The Tottenham Hotspur fan is to receive an immediate life time ban from matches at White Hart Lane and will appear in court during the coming week. Details of the Chelsea supporter have been forwarded to Chelsea Football Club and we believe that they will be taking similar action.

We shall co-operate fully with the FA . The Club considers the safety of supporters and players to be paramount

ditto to that for Frank then for explaining why he had to put the boot in on a guy that never even touched him (something no doubt learned from Drogba ) or are esteemed footballers above the law .

quite clearly he entered the pitch to hit Lampard cos he and others were inciting a riot so not that hard to explain really, the hard bit to explain is how he missed the fat ugly lump of lard and for that he needs shooting.
lets be honest tho the fan looked out of his head anyway.
