thats why there's a technical area..for Jol to shout and issue instructions..to reshape the side...and get them to push up...
So he wasn't doing that no?
Let's look back to the first leg when Jol, Steed, Robbie, and two others I can't remember were having a ****ing conference on the side of the pitch!!!!
Like GS says, the buck stops with Jol, but first and foremost i'm looking at those not performing. That's pretty much everyone.
Why is it that West Ham (a flukey season last season too S61?) blamed those not performing, but Spurs fans all target the manager? Up north Rafa has a squad that should be second easy at least where are those fans calling for his head? Where are those saying Rafa has taken them as far as they can go?

Sorry mate, if he scored so many goals, can't see his name near any of the top seven strikers in the Premiership.
derrrr thats cos we as a team havent scored that many goals so hes hardly gonna have scored more than Spurs is he???? esp as he didnt play at the beginning and spurs also have (or did have 2 weeks ago) the largest number of different scorers which makes a change so whereas others rely on 1 or 2 we dont (even tho we still dont score enough) :)

Derrr, exactly we have not scored so many goals as a team, cos Defoe has been playing more games this season, u have confirmed what I am saying, over rated and should have been sold in Janaury window. Spurs as a team scored more goals last season cos Defoe played less games.

That's not true and you know it.
It was either:
Because back then everyone loved Jol and he got things perfect every game.
Or because back then the players turned up at games wanting to play and win, and put in a shift worthy of their pay packet.
Take your pick. For me it's the second one.

Nah, don't agree, Defoe is well over rated and we should have sold him and bought a tall decent prolific striker.

What rot. If Defoe gets the service, Defoe gets goals, that has been proven this season.

Bollocks, he loses possession and keeps falling offside, when r u going to realise that he is not what some of you describe to be.

I won't. Because I have seen him in pulsating form this season. The guy had just suffered losing his World Cup place to a ****ing child who didn't even play. His reponse was to bang in two for England, and what 11 so far for us? Not bad considering he hasn't started every game.

What a ****ing jackass. Crawl back into the woodwork you ****ing idiot. Defoe gets back into the team this season and oh, look, he's the TOP SCORER! Even over Berbatov! And FYI we have, in all competitions, scored 59 goals so far this season.

Up yours sheep shagger, everyone is entilted for their opinion insults. If I am an idiot, **** knows what you are to beleive that Defoe is a the striker of White Hart Lane.

Could you try and word that legibly please.
You've had a go at Defoe for being caught off-side. Every striker gets caught off-side! Open your eyes!

err Defoe has been the player caught offside the most in the league for the past 2 years, and he hardly played last year so that is quite an achievment.
I think the fact that he is fairly dumb in his movement is irrefutable, he thinks running into chanels is a shopping trip.

I refute it. He gets half a yard, he bangs, he scores. Thank you very much.
Give me the off-side lists from the past 5-10 years please, I'm interested.

Exactly when did i say that Defoe is the striker of White Hart Lane? All I pointed out was that he's our top scorer and you want him out, get a ****ing grip you brainless ****, how about an original insult, oooh, like I've never been called that before!!!!

Not as much as your mighty Defoe does. Strikers do get caught off-side, hopefully he does improve, but at present, he is not what some of you make him to be.

And his total number of goals this season is 8 or maybe 9, I know that, at present, he is our highest scorer. I suppose we are all going to blame the midlfield who do not foward the ball as much, could it be cos they know that Defoe will either lose possession or maybe fall off-side, again, again and again. I now rest my case.

Don't waste your time gs and welshie, it's like arguing with a teenager..... pointless.

Better to argue like a teenager than a child, we don't have to have the same opinion, everyone is entitled to say what they feel like and anyone is entitled to criticise accordingly.

Many of us point out flaws in Defoe's game, there are bound to be those who still don't like him.
By the way, my insult would have been Peter ****. :D

I cnt remember who it was but before the Utd game, one of the pundits on the Sky Sports pannel, said Spurs would never become a top 4 club even with good players as they don't have that winning mentality and never say die attitude the top 4 clubs have.
