Seriously i'll even pick him up from manchester and bring him to the lane myself and throw benoit and Lee out of the moving car on the motorway..............OOOPS and stalteri the cock.

We need to buy him and for 5mil that's a bloody bargain even better than the £20 quid suits from asda!!!
:p

His contract is up at the end of the season 5mil is troo much.

I dont bloody care just get him in..brillant player - great addition to positions that need strengthened desperately.

Well you would think if his contract is up this summer that Utd would take a lower bid ahead of getting nothing in a few months.

It almost looks certain that Manchester Rowdies will sign Bale and loan him back to Southampton till the end of the season. I think £5 mil is not a bad price for a player of Heinze's quality.

Whats with all the penny pinching on this board? The clubs in great financial shape, snot gonna effect me if we pay even £10million lets get some good lefties in!!

jrio

This is only his second season at Utd. As they paid £7m for him I'd be greatly surprised if he only had a 2 year deal.

wayne wonder
17th January 2007, 10:22 AM
I'd rather pay 5mil for him now than get anton ferdinand or curtis davies in for 10mil (who trust me isn't up to scratch) as i live near west brom and have watched him a few times and he's no ledley let me tell you.

In fact my mate saw ferdinand last night at the rocky film prem and asked him if he's gonna join us and he nodded yes and stuck his thumbs up!! I hope he was just being polite i dont want him

have to say Heinze would be a brilliant, brilliant signing but would he come to Spurs??? who knows, don't forget on friday we were being linked with Wes brown so it is all probably just paper talk.

If Bale is being loaned back to Southampton there would be no sense in Utd letting Heinze go now as they would have no cover for Evra, Silvestre being inadequate. I sense he will more likely leave in the summer and Juve would be the favourites to sign him.

Well, I'd rent a limo, champagne, the works and go and pick him up myself. **** personal debt when it could get the best left back in the world.

My God, I'm starting to sound like Ridsdale. But he used to credit for Seth Johnsons, and with other people's money, so I'm nothing like him. Pewhh.

As much as I would LOVE for it to happen, I agree. I would doubt very much ferguson is going to let go an extremely gifted player, who can cover right across their back line, who has a massive amount of experience when they are still involved in a lot of competitions..particularly the champions league.

hence my quote, a man after my own heart.

"Yeah great you just got the entire division butchered, looked good though well done" A very Tottenham thing I think

If you're interested in Balaclava and Sevastopol read Russel's Dispatches from the Crimean.

whatever was ficionalised about that war is nowhere near as intersting as the real history. A more complicated and convuluted conflict would be hard to imagine. You may have to buy a copy of the dispatches through Amazon as they stopped publishing them after about 1972, the only other copy I found is in the British library!

Me too. I do believe this is his third year though, so it is entirely possible that he signed a three year deal no?

I'm only saying his contract is up because I read it somewhere, but this is definately his third year at United.

Hopefully this will settle the arguement on how long Heinze has left on his contract at united

Not a bad price for a proven premiership star!!

There you go, Spur, even allowing for being a year out on his transfer he must still have 2 years left to go after this season.

A question though, he was hurt most of all last season with a knee injury. Do United see something physical wise, where he can't perform like he has in the past. Just something i was thinking about, cause he is a damn good player and just what we need atm, plus what a mentor for Ekotto.

And Dawson, or the other young centre backs, because lets not forget, if we was to do the unthinkable and get him in we would have a natural centre back and top class left back.

I do admit defeat regarding his contract, but like I say, was only repeating what I read somewhere, apologies.

Where would you play him though?? he's decent on the ball but doesn't have the pace

Gino Ginelli
18th January 2007, 04:03 PM
Perfect utility player really, accomplished left back, good in the centre, and played outstanding in Centre Mid last season with Giggs. Would be my choice for left back.

But it won't happen anyway, so we may as well speculate about Ronaldinho

choda
18th January 2007, 07:59 PM
I do NOT want John O'Shea. He's a guy, who because of some flashes of good play, was seen as some sort of utility man. He's a rubbish full back, and a mediocre midfielder.

He's a centre back, but he never got developed there. And to be honest when he plays there he looks dodgy. I'd say given time in the role he'd start to play well, but even that is a 'maybe'.

In short, I do not want John O'Shea. Heinze, in my view, is the best left back in the world and can cover centre back. Silvestre, I think, is a top left back, but a horrific centre back. But big John, in my opinion, at present, is a clumsy full back with woeful distribution (in that position).

Welsh Spur
18th January 2007, 10:51 PM
Yeah, a huge NO to O'Shea. Not a good suggestion, whatsoever.

Gino Ginelli
19th January 2007, 12:21 PM
Fergie says Heinze's contract lasts until 2009, and he's still part of his plans seeing as their not getting Bale in the window.

Oh and I never said we should get O'Shea, I just think he's a decent player.

choda
19th January 2007, 03:02 PM
Yeah, I hear ya.

But believe what I'm saying about him. I've watched him repeatedly fail at the highest level. Compared to that he plays well for Manu.
