if we miss out on CL due to 'that lots' success against barca, should we lobby a bye thru the first few rounds of the uefa cup to the round where the CL failures enter it?
good/bad idea?!?

I think that would be more than fair. But let's not start thinking like that yet..Arsehole haven't won anything yet..

well if they do win, im still hoping the FA grow some balls and stand up to dein and the goons and prevent their application to the CL, unlike with liverpool last year.

I think that's a great idea, if we are denied even if we finish 4th, we should enter UEFA where CL failures do. It still wont make up for it, but it's something...

Surely Dein's involvement with the FA needs to be looked at by an independent body. How can there not be a conflict of interest....
???
As I've said before though, everyone was clear on the rules before the season started so I really don't think our case will be taken seriously. Not saying the rules are fair, far from it, but they have been ther for all to see for the whole season.
SO COME ON YOU BARCA!!!!!!!!!

yes we all knew, and we're all hopin, but the rule is one of the most pathetic ive ever heard, how can you justify taking a season's work away from a team? disgraceful in my opinion....

Then who's place in the tournament do we take? And how would us taking their place be any different to Arsenal taking ours?
The fact is they can only allow a certain number of teams, and to be fair, if Arsenal win it they deserve to be in it next year.

I understand your view, but I find it hard to take on two points...
1 Five English teams entered last year
2 If we don't get in, how hard will it be to watch teams like Artmedia Bratislava playin Inter Milan while we playin Cwmbran in the UEFA Cup

exactly. the precedent was set last year and although the rules where changed, spurs can still legally challenge what is a totally unfair and bizarre rule.
but at the end of the day, the cowards at the FA, led by liverpool fan brian barwick (went to my old secondary school btw) chickened out of making a brave decision last summer and left it to uefa.
its always been down to our FA where the 4 places go so theyve gotta make a decision to either upset one of us, then try and get a good compromise for us.

nothings decided yet as arsenal havent won the competition yet but if they do then entering us in the UEFA when the CL drop-outs enter would be ok but a better solution is us to be in the qualifiers for the CL and arsenal, if they win it, have to take the long route that liverpool took to get into the CL.

In regards to the Dein situation at the FA, dont you find it funny that nothing has been said about Wenger saying that spurs were liars. If it had been the other way round Martin Jol would of been fined by now. Typical Arsenal always cheating

I totally agree that the rules are unfair. The winners should qualify but that should not take away from the other teams in their leauge. This should have been agreed by UEFA last year - the winner's spot is different and should be preserved but not at another legitimate qualifiers expense.

It's all UEFA's fault...all coz they too stupid to realise that they needed to create a place for the winners to defend, as per all international tournaments.

Fair play, i'm getting way ahead of myself. We still have to cement that 4th spot.

Exactly...as I've said before, counting our chickens publically has done us wrong before. Semi-Final, second leg vs Arsehole anyone? A certain half-time announcement about ticket allocations?
It's not over till the fat man drums!!

we're all getting carried away and its understandable, but I really am praying that we beat Bolton and West Ham. As long as we can do that then we cant complain if arsenal qualify ahead of us, because we will have done all we can under the circumstances....
