According to teamtalk.com, Jol is willing to offload Mido and loan Keane out to celtic for the rest of the season if he manages to buy Cisse and Bent.
He's also pushing for A.Ferdinand by offering Stalteri or Davenport as part of the deal. It also reports that Davies is a targert.
Davenport again could be made part of a deal to bring in Young from watford.
Ok first things first - DO NOT LOAN KEANE OUT! One of our biggest players and we need him!
Not too sure about Cisse, you can just tell if we sign him he'll break his leg again!
Would love bent if we manage to sell mido, theres bound to be somebody who will buy him (how much did we pay for him), as long as bent does not mind sitting on the bench.
Wouldn't mind Davies but not for £12million! A.ferdinand would be great cover for King, can he play LB?
And last but not least, Young - Great LM for watford, but I have a feeling he will be another routledge if we sign him!
Your thoughts?

well the ferdinand story could be true, i haven't seen him play that much to be honest. i don't think he'd sign for us as cover and i would have thought he'd costa bundle unless his contract is short. maybe we would buy him to go straight in at the back, and king ledley could take our midfield holding role.
i think we need a leader and tackler in the middle.
young i've seen a couple of times this season, but playing up front while marlon is out. i haven't been impressed, not for what they want for him anyway. he doesn't even look that quick. he'd certainly be a better crosser and finisher than routy but i don't think we need another right winger.
as for mido, he does get valuable goals, but seems riddled with injuries and i don't see his ego sitting on the bench. i wondered when we bought him whether we had struck a deal with him, figuring he would be stuck in limbo if he didn't get a move. so maybe we had a quick sell on deal with him if it didn't work. we were also linked with the giant german so maybe that will come thru.
i can't stand cisse, he's very quick and gets his goals, but has a singular attitude and i've got better ball control than him. if we wanted someone like him we should have gone in for anelka. I also think liverpool we need to recoup 10m of their money.
we have to keep either keane or defoe, they contribute a lot to our build up play, i just don't see us spending on a striker with the 4 we have.
we need a good lefty and a hard tackler for me, both urgently.

right;
Keane out on loan - never, not going to happen.
Young - decent player, not £8million though, no better than Routledge
Bent for Mido - id take that, its a shame Mido hasnt kept last seasons form
Ferdinand - we need cover for King, Anton is perfect. also Curbs is fan of Gardner which is a good chance for us to offload him in part exchange

Keane should not go anywere, Young for the money being quoted is well overpriced and for me is not better then Routledge, Anton would be a good buy but would he be content to sit behind King and Dawson, not sure about Cisse think Bent would be a better option. But what we really need is a midfield enforcer.

I don't expect many to agree with me on this, but I rate Cisse very highly. I think his pace and movement rips defences a shred and the boy can finish.
I know his touch and link play aren't good, but link play is not that important for guys who play right on the last man and his touch, while poor, is more than made up for by his devastating qualities.
I don't expect people to agree with me on this, but he's somebody I would shell out for. I like him. He seems to have a lot of self belief too, which is good.

I gotta say i like Cisse and think he would be devastating on the wing, with that pace of his. Also i've just seen the Ashley Young has turned down a 9.65m move to Wet Spam!.Man are they desperate!.

Aagh... I'd keep him away form the wing. He can't cross or beat a man unless he kicks it into space. I think he's limited, but devastating with the pace and movement on the shoulder.

I've been a fan of Cisse since he was a French u21.
Athletically he has it all. He's absolute lightning and can hit the ball with real venom.
He's a real confidence player though, probably because his attitude isn't always the greatest. But when he's on song, he's a real force.

I was surprised he didn't make it at Liverpool. I expected him to be as good as Henry, but to be fair he did get a bit of a raw deal up north. I wouldn't be opposed to him, but only if we get rid of Mido first/as well.

Before moving to Liverpool he scored 26 goals in the French league. That's not bad at all.

But would Cisse be happy not being first choice striker?

I think he's conceivably better than Keane and it's certainly conceivable that he's better than Defoe. Defoe and himself are similar except that he's got crazy pace and better movement.

Well if we sign cisse, I think we can say goodbye to Defoe and Keane. Two players I definately do not want to say goodbye to!

It would be too much of a risk to try to replace Defoe or Keane with Cisse. He has the potential, but rarely seems to live up to it.

And he's already proven somewhat of a flop in England. It would be like signing Milan Baros, who has been a flop twice in England (possibly the worst striker currently in the Premier League). Or us signing Juan Pablo Angel (possibly the worst striker currently in the Premier League).
I feel sorry for Villa fans.
