but why???
to watch bridge would probably be the obvious answer, if so, i doubt we'd buy him after last nights performance.
maybe collins john, jason roberts, boa morte, camara etc are under consideration.
ziegler didnt play though so it cant have been to watch him, comolli would have done that anyway!
anyone got their own theories or answers???

Probably to watch bridge, Jol has admitted that he would like to have him in his team and the talk in the media has started up again about Spurs looking to sign him.

Heard we should be interested in Pascal Chimbonda, that could be why he watched the game, but he were probably looking at Bridge..

heard a wee rumour too that Jol might have been taking a look at Steed Malbranque

It could be a number of players TBH, namely full-backs. Bridge or Baines at left-back, both good players. Or Chimbonda for right-back who has also performed this season.
My bet would have been Boa Morte, he has scored a few lately so it makes sense to watch him when he's in good form.

Jimmy Bullard has been one of the best midfielders in the prem this season, Has bags of energy and is a real all-rounder.He also seems like the sort of bloke that would be good for morale. Might be worth a look?

Have a funny feeling that Mr Bullard will be nothing more than a one season wonder

If that proves to be the case then at least he's given us a lot of entertainment on Soccer AM!!!

i can't believe we'd want any more midfielders, we'll need a separate bus for them soon. I think lee has done a sound job at left back, hardly been beaten round the outside, and to be fair how many full backs don't get beaten now and then. I think we might push lee up to left wing if we can't get a good priced or super talented winger. Stalteri is a different matter. I noticed that chimbonda said in an article recently that he doesn't like english football because of the tackling, in other words come buy me any team outside the prem. I think bridge, boa morte, malbranque or diop or any of the frontline players. Fulham have 3 guys who can hold it up and roberts is useful for wigan. I'd like boa morte and bridge, also roberts if he was a bit younger.

id like diop, hes immense but sadly in a below average team. but then, where would you play him?
i think our areas for improvement are left side for the first team and probably defence for the reserves. even though we won the reserve league already :D

He has had a good season, but to fair it's not the most difficult task to look good in a squad like theirs.

yes!
i never understood it. why leave wigan who had a decent team, a great coach and i felt, an outside chance of staying up, to join a dire side with a dull-ass coach and whom where certainties for the drop.

Yup, big time! I used to watch Ellington and Roberts at Bristol Rovers (I'm allowed to, they adopted the original Spurs kit, gave us Mabs and at least half their fans support Spurs as a second club) and they both struck me as players who would cut it in the Premeriship, either would make a decent back-up striker for us!
