That has to be his best performance in a Spurs shirt so far. I even went on a Man Utd board earlier and they were saying how superb he was and why did they never buy him for just £3M???

ill ignore what you said about being on a man u board lol, but yes Carrick has been exceptional and has added tackling to his game. he is well on his way to being the complete mifielder, just needs to shoot and score a bit more but against arsenal and united he has been flawless, an absolute steal at £3million

Tell her you'll sell her to a brothel if she doesn't change to supporting Spurs.

In my opinion Carrick had his best game in a spurs shirt, he was masterful and completely controlled the game. i have to concede that arsenal gave him too much time in the first half but even when under pressure in the second half he excelled. Watching him move up through the gears on THAT run was just brilliant. Did anyone else get one of those slow motion moments when he was through against Lehmann?

:D i know what you mean, but no i didnt. i had a similar moment when he scored against Everton. he just appeared from behind the defenders, receiving the through pass on his chest and then slamming it to the net. it was so Milan-Gullit-like.
and when he played that long pass to Keane who was offside by a foot (just 5 minutes before our goal i think), that was absolutely brilliant. what a pass!!!

I heard him described as being the Rolls-Royce of midfielders. Pretty much sums it up to me. One piece of skill on the halfway line, midway through the second half made Henry and Gilberto look really second rate. The guy just oozes class, if he was a brazilian etc etc!!!

I agree he was fantastic today - but why didn't he go far post when he was one-on-one with Lehman? Almost like he couldn't believe he was through!!

If you see it again you can just see where Lamerman catches he foot so Carrick was off balance as he kicked it.

agreed. if not him. could the coaching staff please start teaching any of our midfielders or atackers how to head the ball. We didn't win one aerial battle in their half today. what a waste of robinsons kicking ability and also our wing backs overlapping potential when getting crosses in.

Yes! as i said earlier, he did have a good chance to clear. easier said now i know but when will they learn to defend. he doesn't have to hoof it just pass it, and if there is no one to pass to hoof and fall back.
