know it was only a piont in the end but was so proud of the way we played in the 1st half - we absolutely outplayed them!
dont think we played so well against the scum since the 91 semi !
Yes davids should have been taken off - inevitable he'd get a red later on ( they knew this and targeted him)
So proud to be a spur today ( well always have been of course but think you know what i mean )
Gutted they equalised - dont they always - but make no mistake this was our day and they know it! ( see their so called 'fans' at the end absoluely shatered ha ha! After a decade of being in their shadow i think things are turning back the spurs way!
Also the spurs are now defintely back in europe whatever happens with this 4th place business - where we defintely belong!
3 euro trophies - only liverpool have won more of any british team in europe!
Down in swansea so had to make do with andy ' i love everything bout arsenel' gray's comentary on sky. they also had gooner graham in the studio. He rubbished our goal and showed why it was a travesty he ever managed us at all! But jamie rednapp was there for us - defended our goal to the end!
Once again well done to spurs - we did it today playing the 'spurs way' too.

we (including myself) have undrestimated ourselves too often this season. we were a weakened team today yet we should have done them. nobody in the top six of english football has had it easy against spurs this season. although i was getting the chelsea "de ja vous" in injury time today.
my biggest concern isn't not qualifying for CL but drawing west ham in the uefa cup. what an anti-climax that would be!

excellent domination over the first 70 minutes or so. i would've been very embarassed if i was a gooner fan at Highbury, but thankfully i'm not :D
Tainio, Carrick, Robbo. hats off to you. you really gave it 120%
Dawson, Keane. well done as well.

Davids really proved what a important player he is.. Worked so hard and really went into all challenges.. Lennon should be praised to. Look like a real thread in the first half and Flamini didn't see much of him except for his back...
Obviously carrick was MOM he ozzezes of class... Pure quality..

Carrick was topclass, Tainio, Robbo, captain-Keano all flawless, Daws, was solid, Lennon showed his pedigree, Lee found his left foot and used it very productively, Staleri & Gardner also did okay. 11 heroes me thinks, well 9 at least anyway. YID ARMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was disappointed with Davids - he played well, but he allowed himself to get wound up and sent off, which left us a man down on the day and for the next two matches. At his age he should know better. Apart from that, no complaints!!

Actually, I think Davids was superb all game. Best he has played in a long time and you don't want to take away that part of the game from him.
He never stopped working and won lots of tackles and goes in hard which is what I want to see on those wimps. Davids like Keane and even Viera are always prone to a booking just because of who they are. The second booking was a booking but I thought the first was a bit harsh.
One thing I have noticed that not many people have touched on is Defoe. I thought he was lazy today and looks to me like a player who knows the only reason he is actually playing is due to injuries. It is a shame he does not take a leaf out of Keanes book and work for his place.

yeah i noticed. he was the only Spurs player on the pitch who looked uninspired.
a part of me doesn't blame him. his spirits are low, and i feel a little pity for him. but for the most part, i see him as quite unprofessional. every striker, if not every football player, goes through such periods but he must fight to prove himself. the same was the case for Keane in the begining of the season, but that didnt bring him down. whenever he's on he's giving it all he's got, and smiling. i really like that about him. now he's the Prem's 4th top scorer with 16 goals. well done Keane. Defoe should learn from him.

Yep! Davids played his best game in yonks, but should have known better. we should have taken him off because his tackles are often late and as the game wore on the slower he got. Not even sure it warranted a second yellow. I did predict a week ago he would be sent off.
As for Defoe, the last 10 minutes he had nothing to do and we should have put barney on or even Naybet. Defoe did have a great shot at Lehmanns head but overall didn't look up for it.
As for Arsenal calling us cheats for our goal, F**K em!

Davids tackle on it's own didn't warrant a second yellow, but it was coming because he'd been involved in so many incidents before that - he is certainly in there to mix it, but getting yourself sent off for a stupid tackle like that from pure frustration is very disappointing. Would have been worse if they had scored a second at the end.
I agree about Defoe as well - I am pretty sure he is leaving in the summer.

Yes, and it seems to me that he knows he's leaving. However, with Sven watching i was surprised he didn't show more ambition. I wonder how he would have celebrated if he had scored! That would have told us a lot.

Personally think Defoe did well, Should definately have scored at least 1 though... Perhaps he is off, I'm not even gonna bother speculating as long as we get £15mill for him I don't care, if Benitez is so intent on unsettling him then let's see how much he really thinks he's worth, bearing in mind he paid 7m for CROUCH and turned down £17m or whatever for Owen's return....
...come to think of it, surely it's worth the extra 10 million for someone who'll deffo score consistently rather than pay averagely for a lanky spurs reject!!!

Hmm, I didn't think Defoe did TOO badly, you say he was quiet at the end, but what could he do up there all alone!?

I would have preferred to have him taken off and shot?, no hang-on, taken off and replaced by Murphy in a five man mid-field. ;)

It's gotta be disheartening seein the guy who's taken your place do so well....just a thought.....but on the other hand should provide motivation. However I think it isnt all his fault as MJ prefers Mido with Defoe OR Keane, and Keane's been in undroppable form....

I know it's got to be depressing, but that's the game he is - if he can't handle the competition, how will he make it at any big club?

the lads did fantastically well, probably the best Ive seen them play this season and they showed just how passionate they were and how much the game meant to them, agree with the comments about Defoe, did look a bit out of sorts and you have to wonder does he have the passion to be a Spurs player, Davids maybe should have been taken off, but I think he was unsettling the scums palyers and that was why MJ kept him on, the future is really looking bright for Spurs Supporters and Im looking forward to watching my beloved team in Europe COYS

all the big sides use rotation these days....man u(rooney van saha) liverpool (morientes/cisse/crouch/garcia) arse (henry/van persie/bergkamp/adebayor) so it'll be the same for defoe at any top english club....
