Today he was poor but his last match he was world class.

Mido is mostly poor. He is our fourth choice striker for a reason.

Two goals against Wimbledon is fine. Let's see him get two goals against Arsenal then i'll rave about him. Last season he was two-bob practically the whole way through.

berby either wasnt fit today or hes still carrying an injury i don't know. he clearly isnt 100% and needs to get used to how physical the premiership is. I would of liked to of seen mido starting today because hes on form but berby needs as many games as possible because once he is on form hes twice as good as mido

Why are we even bothering with this thread. Mido is a good player, Berbatov is a good player. They are both very different and offer different options to the side. If MJ picks the right combination of strikers for the right sort of match we'll see ourselves getting up the table.

two very diferent big men... berbatov nore mobile...and elusive.. were mido is a more power forward.. but both are under performing at present and need to find and recapture what makes them the good strikers they are....

Misho, your obviously extremely biased my friend. To say Mido is better than Berbatov and that he is our best striker is cobblers.

Mido's record is nowhere near Berbatov. Berbatov has scored 30 goals in 49 international matches. He has also been consistently one of the highest league scorers in europe over the past few seasons.

How we got him for 10 million is beyond me.

He has also already shown in many matches that he is a class act. Even his poorest showing was better than Mido's poor shows (of which there have been a many lately apart from the last two games when he pleasingly came back to form and goalscoring form).

I don't even think he's our second best striker. Keano in my view is the second best striker we have as I can more easily see him reaching the heights of the game than I can see Mido doing.

He also scores more goals than Mido.

In case you've forgotten he was our player of the year last year, not Mido. Mido is still an excellent player and I'd rate him third in our strikers as he is very powerful and I like his fire.

For me however Berbatov is a notch above our other strikers right now. He probably is world class. He looks awesome to me. And Keano last year was bordering on world class. When he gets up and running this year that is the partnership. It will be terrific.

Yesterday I thought Keane looked like he had the sparkle coming back. Let's hope it does (it will) and we'll have a strike partnership that will cause much damage. And two excellent substitutes.

All the talk about this player is better than that player...is all opinion.
Statistics help an argument but you have to look into the records, and see who the goals were scored against etc..
Both players are obviously talented guys and have a certain ability to score goals, but the problem is when the goals are scored. There are strikers or forwards who get the 3rd or 4th goals in an easy victory..and there are players who r capable of getting the all important goal in a tight game.

we get 5 v Mk Dons which to be fair is great but not a huge surprise but can't score v Watford or a lot in the Prem generally..that is what worries me about our forwards...Im not convinced ny of our front players at the moment look like really dominating a game

Berbatov is a class, but .... Leverkusen used him as the main weapon , they usualy played him as the only one man in atack , so he prefer to receive accurate passes and finished them. The team should work for him , because we need goals , and he can do his job , only if his team mates used him as brilliant finisher. So , Zokora is the man who has to do this , Edgar is his best team mate , so he know how to deal with him. Jenas is too young , he need a time to become a legend. Huddlestone is a different type - actually he is perfect defensive midfielder , we know last year we havent seen him much of him cuz he hasnt played. This season , i expect him to be the biggest Premiership surprise , as Jol said he iis our Kaiser.
Sometime i feel we can use King as midfielder, cuz Huddlestone is the perfect defender.

This holds true only for the last half-season in the Bundesliga. Berbatov was prolific also when Leverkusen played with two strikers, i.e. in the former seasons (2003-2004 and 2004-2005).

Everyone has there own opinions if Misho prefers Mido to Berbatov then fine. Don't see the point in arguing about whos better its not going to change anything...

Choda looking at ur team, would u not start with zokora?? i would personally let zokora play attacking midfielder for jenas and play ghaly on the right and lennon on the left.

Misho, don't think I'm being rude here, but I get the impression that you have only been a "Supporter" of Tottenham since Mido signed and will cease to be a supporter the minute he leaves. if he signed for Arsenal, I imagine you'd be signing up to every goonerpage in England...That's your choice, but all of us here are dedicated and passionate supporters of our team, not of one particular player and as such your blinkered and sycophantic ramblings have no place here.

I really don't want to sound out of order, but I really think you should find a board dedicated to the appreciation of your favourite player and not waste your time here. You are on the verge of mutating into a troll - please go elsewhere.

Oh probably... but not while he has malaria.;)

I think Zokora and Ghaly is another option and I think Malbranque will play well on the left.
