"If we had got a point today, it would have been a nice, warm, sunny afternoon for us” - Instead, Martin Jol's Spurs lost 2-1 to ManYoo and a dark cloud descended on White Hart Lane. Perhaps the reason for Michael Fish ridiculing concerns that a hurricane was set to hit Britain back in 1988 was because his football team had won 5-0 earlier that afternoon?
* "I heard Jol on the radio on Saturday saying that it could be a good time to be playing us,. I thought: 'Oh really'" - Sir Alex Ferguson reveals the motivation behind ManYoo's win at Spurs. As ManYoo have only dropped two points in their past eleven matches, Fergie's bemusement was understandable. :o
* "I dont think I've been unlucky, just the opposite. Playing for England, I came off with two broken ankles and a torn hamstring, and that took three years out of my career, but the way I look at it, at least I didn’t come off because I was crap" - Jamie Redknapp. :p

It's maybe not realistic but I think that in the next three years we could make a big challenge to be champions of England" - Martin Jol refuses to get carried away by the first Premiership season in which Tottenham have been regular fixtures in the top four.

"anything can happen. Maybe on Saturday hundreds of squirrels will come on to the pitch and we will have a problem. You cannot prepare yourself for squirrels, so we would probably have to run." - Martin Jol assess the attacking threats facing Spurs at Highbury.

MJ is indeed a legend with some great quotes despite starting every sentence with the word "no", his best by far though was when he was talking to an italien reporter after the arsenal-juve game, the reporter said that arsenal are a good team and jol replied "yes and their 5th and we're 4th so imagine how good we are" possibly the best thing ever said

Martin Jol IS a legend, almost every week he says something I either laugh or ponder at....
...but the response to the Italian reporter was the stuff managerial legends are made of!
